I think the return of Ronnie will benefit Sancho as at least the spotlight will be taken off him for the time being and he will get more time to get up to Premier League speed.

Have a strong feeling Sancho will be to Ronaldo what a young Ozil was back in 2011-13.

I think Sancho will start to catch fire in the CL where he has a bit more space and the team have a bit more time to figure each other out. That then will serve him well in the PL where you’re relying on instinct in the tighter moments. I can understand why he’s been trying to play it safe so far. He’s also typically been a fairly slow starter each season.

Oh well - was hoping he could get a game for England as he did not look fit at all in our recent games.

Not sure if this is good or bad. I didn't really want him going on England duty and would have rathered him stay here and train. But I suppose the argument could be made that he should get some game time in. Now he's injured that could put his fitness back even more.

Not great

I don't expect he will start the game anyway. Ronaldo will probably start, with Pogba, Bruno, and Greenwood behind him.
That is if Pogba doesn't play in the middle alongside Fred again

If anyone shouldn't be playing in midfield it's Fred tbh. Man's in shocking form. 3 games this season and he has been bad for 5 halfs of football. Only half he was any use was in the second against Leeds.

If McTominay is fit then McTominay and Pogba should be playing Midfield.

Then 3 out of Sancho Cavani Greenwood Ronaldo up front

We all love United
I’m still very excited to see him play, even more so than Ronaldo even if you think I’m being crazy

Mainly because I know what Ronaldo can bring to the team but i really want to see Jadon bring his BVB form here and combine with Bruno/Cavani/Ronaldo

His stocks are so low at the moment, seems like no one rate him but Bundesliga fans.

Completely not true.
English fans have mostly never seen him play well for England, rival fans have been mocking him for his grey debut and full debut. He was also much better domestically than in Europe, stocks are low. But I trust in him.

Even on the caf, many think he'll struggle to cement a place.

Caf is known for its lack of patience but this is another level entirely. He's not even played a game and a half for us yet.

If we hadnt signed Ronaldo, Sancho's thread would have been many pages longer with a lot of "discourse" about whether he is gonna flop or not. Glad that's not happening.

People do not realize how good he is, Ronaldo’s transfer and Greenwood’s form gonna take all the pressure from him and he could be slowly introduced to the team. Without being the ONE who must transform our attack. Right now with Pogba, Bruno, Greenwood and Ronaldo,
Our back up players are Cavani, Sancho, Martial and Rashford. Unbelievable that last year James was part of our starting 11 so often.

Good times are coming. Bring It on !

Agree, but I don't think McT will be 100% fit

What's the downside risk of the signing of Jadon Sancho? Any possibility that he can play as bad as Sanchez's playing for us. To be honest, it's just 1 match that he played for us but I'm afraid he might found difficulties to match with physical and pace in EPL. The things about junk food also annoy me that it'd better he pay more attention about nutrition. Hopefully, everything goes well because I don't want to see another faillure signing from Dortmund.

Sancho will be a big benefactor of the Ronaldo signing. It’s probably the best thing that could have happened for him. It completely takes the limelight away from him and on Ronaldo. The whole world is just thinking about Ronnie on the weekend. It will allow Sancho to find his feet and be flying very soon. Without the Ronnie signing all the talk would have been about Sancho and why he’s not getting a hat trick every game.

Fair question to ask, but I see no possibility of Sancho being anything less for us than the generational talent he proved himself to be with Dortmund.

The Wolves match got out of hand in the first half largely due to Fred’s shambolic performance, which lifted the home fans and gave the opponent tons of confidence. We got rattled as a team and Sancho never got into a rhythm. He’ll come good…soon.

From a neutral’s point of view, it must have been fantastic to watch Manchester United get bitchslapped by mugs. I hope all those neutrals got a good look at that match as I really don’t see anything like that bizarre performance against Wolves being repeated.

Who on earth cares about such stupid claims after a handful of minutes.

He’s a superstar in the making.

His stocks are low in the eyes of those with a hysterical disposition. Anyone who conforms to the notion that 117 minutes of football after practically no preseason is enough to form a reason opinion of a player are maniacs who should he blocked and gagged.

I got ridiculed by posters on here for saying we should consider going for Traore or Saint Maximin instead of Sancho.. now hopefully Sancho comes good and proves them right but at the moment I don’t see how Sancho gets in the first 11 and would rather have either of those two as an impact sub.
And they were right to ridicule you haha

Like a few, he could benefit from the Ronaldo hype. Could give him a little longer to adjust before the media hounds start on him.

Don't care if it takes time, we might only see glimpses of the quality this season. People need to remember how young he is and what he has done, regardless of the league.

Big things to come.

His workrate isn't that great. Is it the way he's with Dortmund?

He’s been on as a sub when the game was won, and one game when the entire team was poor and I get the feeling people are already moaning. Give him chance for heavens sake!
I know... the impatience of some is disappointing. I am convinced he will become an amazing player for us.

Defensively he's never done much. About the same as Grealish or Rashford the past couple of years. Bit more than Ronaldo as a winger. Not a whole lot different to Pogba out there either.

One reason I feel we need a very defensive midfield 2 is because our wide players are pretty much wide forwards in their positioning and do very little defensive work.

People forget that he is only 21 and has just made a big step up in terms of difficulty of league especially for attacking/flair players. Plus in the games he played for us, especially the one he started in, our build up play was absolutely horrendous.

I expected him to start slowly. Still a brilliant brilliant young player. He'll do very well for us.
