Khabib is a massive Ronaldo fan probably just entertaining him..
he was talking to Khabib in the guest area. He knows what he’s doing.Sir Alex thought it was a private conversation and likely didn’t know it was being recorded, but the legend is 100% right.
Yeah, Ronaldo was poor against Villarreal until he scored the winner and we were winning against Everton with Cavani starting until the Ronaldo and Sancho subs were made and conceded shortly after. Rotating for a game like Everton after a tiring game against Villarreal shouldn't be an issue. We needed to be better defensively - we still haven't had a cleansheet in all competitions since the season started and if not for De Gea we could have conceded even more.Eh. We played better with Cavani on the pitch anyway, and looked markedly better when he came on in the Villarreal game too.
You won't BELIEVE the FALLOUT. ABSOLUTE SCENES at Carrington.I'm SHOCKED and STUNNED.
You seem to be forgetting how much SAF likes Ronaldo and role SAF played in Ronaldo coming backKhabib is a massive Ronaldo fan probably just entertaining him..
Ferguson is strong enough of a personality to not cater/suck up to anyone.Khabib is a massive Ronaldo fan probably just entertaining him..
And Ronaldo wasn't wasn't even good when he did come on.Except we were 1-0 up prior to Ronaldo coming on.
He should hold himself to those same standards then. If you come onto the pitch and spend most of your time strolling around that bollocking holds less weight. The diva who’s a serial winner with more champions league medals than our club? If he’s demanding better from some of the bluffers in our squad I’m all for it.
Say what now? The two are not comparableExpect the same people moaning about Ronny not starting every game are the ones complaining about DVB not getting any rotation into the first 11.
And if that winner is the 78 year old retired guy then you’ve got a problem. Because he’s the past, you’re supposed to be looking towards the future. Shades of Busby again, successors struggling under a massive shadow. Not good.It really wouldn't as there would only ever be one winner
I think most people would agree that Ronaldo cannot play every game, but in this particular case there was an international break coming up, affording ample opportunity for recovery. Whether or not, regardless of fitness, he should generally be starting ahead of Cavani, is a slightly different point about which reasonable people can disagree.Absurd to see so many people agreeing here, but anything to kick Ole while he's down I suppose.
Ronny is 36 and can't play every game, if he does the whole team will suffer.
Aside from the goal, he was shite against Villareal and Cavani looked way sharper and deserved the start, and I'm not a huge fan of the idea of them starting together.
In the end it didn't work out, but the logic of the decision was sound.

"Fergie was shit for the first 6 years..." brigade incomingIn no universe would that even be a debate.
He scored 5 crucial goals in 5 games.Eh. We played better with Cavani on the pitch anyway, and looked markedly better when he came on in the Villarreal game too.
This isn't the Ronaldo show, I'm already getting a bit tired of it. He can't expect to walk around the pitch for 80 minutes every game and throw his arms up like a diva anytime something bad happens. It's a team sport.
Not right before international break, no. There was no logic.Sir Captain Hindsight. You could see the logic in not starting him given recent weeks and how Cavani has been pushing to start.
Not all of them were crucial, but yes he's 5 in 5. He also stunk up the place vs Villa (and Villarreal before he got his goal). He scored 5 crucial goals in 5 games.
Exactly my thoughts.I don't think there is any agenda behind it, simply an off the cuff comment any number of people probably made on seeing the lineup. Probably just careless. If Alex Ferguson had reservations about the manager I struggle to believe that talking to a UFC fighter would be his chosen mechanism for bringing about change - does that make any sense at all?
Yes it's Alex Ferguson but he doesn't necessarily have access to the data the management do with Ronaldo. He is going to have to be managed, unfortunately. There are going to be games he can't play and of those games we are probably going to be a weaker side and yes we're going to cock up results. We can't always harp back to Ronaldo every time, we need to get results without him.
As excited I am about Ronaldo and the goals he brings, I feel that bringing him back wasn't the right choice.Eh. We played better with Cavani on the pitch anyway, and looked markedly better when he came on in the Villarreal game too.

Where's the video?SAF knows what hes doing and saying it to a famous person in public he knows hes getting filmed.
Is the rational simply because Ronaldo came back because of his call or is he also now putting pressure on Ole, comes following Neville’s comments.
Tend to agree with you on the 'Ronaldo show' comment. I've seen a few suggest we cannot waste the last couple of years of his career as if his personal achievements are more important than the club. He's here to help us, not the other way around.Eh. We played better with Cavani on the pitch anyway, and looked markedly better when he came on in the Villarreal game too.

The one I've seen on Khabib's instagram has no audio, so not sure.Where's the video?
I posted it in Oles threadWhere's the video?
He didnt have McFred in midfield then thoughI think he was just making polite conversation. SAF was the master at gambling and leaving players out. He actually rested Ronaldo against Chelsea in the league in 2008 in what was a very important game.
Bang on. But beware his fans will jump on you.Eh. We played better with Cavani on the pitch anyway, and looked markedly better when he came on in the Villarreal game too.
