Hi everybody, I have some issues with adding images to my posts.

Trying that link won't work when used with "insert image"-feature: https://imgbb.com/sCdWNPM

Can you guide me to a list of approved service providers or am I doing something wrong?

Right click on the actual image, copy image address (to get the version that ends in .jpg), then insert that, instead of inserting the web address for that page.

Ah. Awesome. Should have tried that myself but thought Redcafe only allows certain providers. Thanks a lot!

Hi Admins

I have an old friend who I met up with for the Everton game. I told him about how I would use redcafe, and he mentioned he is still waiting to be validated from the forum.

He asked me to check if there was any issues with his user? It's soda33 and apparently keeps saying Awaiting confirmation for him.

I can't see any sign-ups waiting to be approved. Tell him to re-register and I'll keep an eye out.

I'm investigating. DON'T tell him to re-register in the meantime as his account is there but there's a stumbling point.

How do I put someone on ignore when they've made their profile page private?

How do you make an entire profile private? I can't see an option for that in my own profile. Are you sure the member isn't serving a (temp) ban?

(I could check if you pm me their name.)

Hi guys,

I got an infraction for asking what colour the bomber was today, I don't see how that's inappropriate. I was asking it because I'm worried about the reaction. Turns out, he's the same colour as me, which means I'm likely to get stopped and searched in the next fortnight.

The colour of his skin may not affect you, but it has a direct influence on my life, so if I ask a question for forewarning, why am I being punished?

Hi Admin.

I have decided to bring my case to you as recommended by @golden_blunder

On October 3rd I had 3 warning points expiring from the previous year. However, I conveniently received another 3 warning points on the same day for a quality issue. I have received no email about this incident, nor do I know which moderator has done this. I was having a debate about Ole playing people out of position. This is what I wrote which apparantely warrants 3 points on a quality issue

' You mean Greenwood who has actually been a striker during his whole development, but according to Ole is a RW, and the RW we just signed for 70m plays as a LW haha '

Can someone please look at that and evaluate whether 3 points is warranted here.

Quality control warnings are usually about your recent posting history/quality rather than one individual post.

That's circumstantial to say the least and the logic is flawed. The warning points were assigned to a specific post as per below
Content
Post in thread 'Premier League Matchday 7'

Could someone impartial please review my case. I believe 3 points is completely unjust here, and the timing is very suspicious in my opinion. 3 points expiring on the same day another 3 were given. It would be a pity if the mods were not being seen to be fair minded.

They were assigned to a specific post because that’s how the warning system works. We have to select some content. This won’t be reviewed, sorry. I can tell you we wouldn’t care enough to purposefully time your warnings though. If we wanted to ban you then we’d just ban you.

Are you genuinely suggesting that one of the mods had some kind of reminder set to give you 3 points just because your existing 3 points were set to expire?

Just how important do you think you are?!

Those warnings are given for trends and an overall quality problem, not a specific post, as has already been explained and if I remember correctly is even explained in the warning PM you should have received.

It’s 3 points, take it on the chin and try to not post shit content.

I believe there are mods on this site who have vendettas. However that probably circumstantial aswell isnt it chaps. Thank you for the interesting debate and reasoning there.

11 warnings over 5 years and you think we have a vendetta rather than you aren't a very good poster or at least one who keeps posting things that warrant warnings? If we had a vendetta you would be long gone.

Why was my thread discussing the line about interim manager until the end of the season, and what that would entail, merged with a thread about the coaching staff being kept on?

Weird merge.

I click on a users profile and it says access denied, how else can I put them on ignore? I’m assuming their profile isn’t banned because it doesn’t have new member and non edited tag line
Was discussed earlier on this page actually:
How do I put someone on ignore when they've made their profile page private?
Add /ignore to the end of the URL of their profile page and it might work.
Worked perfectly, thanks

It’s the same thing and actually ended up with posts that are similar to what’s in the Next Manager thread.
I think we’ve been very clear about having only a couple of threads because it’s been getting out of control so we’d hope people respect that

Hello, I got a warning for this post:

https://www.redcafe.net/threads/the-mccariickenna-conundrum-ft-micky-phelans.467205/post-28109667

I'm not sure why I got warning points for this. Was it to do with using the word "tumor" it's a very common phrase used here and I don't quite understand the problem.

EDIT: It wasn't said with malice at all. I'm actually perplexed.
I didn’t give you the warning but from looking at the post im not surprised. It sounds like you’re saying that ole was a tumour and we should be better than using that terminology

No it looks like I'm referring to the coaching situation being handled the same way you handle a tumor, you have to remove it all to get better. It's an analogy, not an insult. This is absolutely pathetic that I got a warning for this. It's a simple analogy

It's the same if someone used the phrase "fall on his sword" and you gave them a warning because you're advocating violence. That's a shit reason to give a warning

I just told you that I didn’t warn you but that’s how I read it from looking at your post. I’d suggest not using terminology like that

Well your forum is setup so I don't know who warned me, so I really don't know what else you expect me to do.

You're actually saying it's not okay to use analogies just because some moderator misinterpreted it? That's pathetic. Don't know what is happening with mods this past month
