To be honest. I would have done exactly what Max did. It's aggressive but he's fighting for a world title. And he's not the only driver on the grid who will shut the door. There are two styles of drivers out there, those who give room and those who don't. Max is the latter.
it’s up to the stewards to referee the race properly and they failed at that. max overstepped the line with the defence and only held the position by throwing his car into a ‘we either both crash or I stay ahead’ scenario.

Yeah, but Max is a hypocrite who whines whenever someone does the same on him. The FIA being ridiculously inconsistent with their interpretation of the rules doesn't help too as it seems like Max can get away with anything for years and he never needs to learn the difference being aggressive and dirty.

by all means he can drive like that but he should have got a penalty just like schumacher would have.

schumacher didn’t get away with it, neither should max.
Schumacher got away with a staggering amount over his career. The best drivers usually do.

Lewis got away with quite a bit of dirty driving against Rosberg and Vettel as well.

There's 3 styles to be fair, there's the 2 you mentioned and people like Alonso and to an extent Hamilton who give room, but still don't allow you to pass.

What a drive by Hamilton. Of course the new engine helped massively, especially on this circuit, but he absolutely nailed this race.

nah i’m not having that. his biggest mistakes either cost him (out of the race) or he got penalised for it.

Unbelievable effort by Hamilton this weekend. That was superbly tense through the middle to last third of the race.

Probably one of the most complete drives from Hamilton this weekend, reminiscence of the infamous GP2 race in Turkey in 2006.

That was as close to a gladiator battle we've seen to date. Phenomenal

Yeah it was tense, but Lewis had everything go right today after everything going wrong at the start of this weekend.
I thought the dirty air and Max getting DRS from lapped cars in front like last time would come into it again, but in the end it didn't work out for him this time. Mercs (Lewis) were just too strong.

if it was just the car then bottas should have won comfortably.

That was an incredible performance. Tremendous driving and sheer persistence by Lewis.

I dont watch it now as much as i used, but how is it that Bottas is not able to do the same in the same car? Is lewis just a miles better driver, if not the greatest ever?

No new ICU for Bottas though, which seems like it will be the determining factor for the championship.
bottas engine isn’t exactly old. he was 7 places ahead and ended up how many seconds behind?

It's been gladiatorial. Would not have been the same if Max didn't get his elbows out.

Wonder how much wear that new ICE has now after 71 laps at that pace in that heat.

They'll hope it'll do at least the next 2 races and then maybe have to put one of the older ones in for the final race.
