What was it Roy Keane said when Sunderland manager about Robbie Savage and his ''WHAZZUP' , something along the lines of 'c'ant be fecking signing that'.

Same vibes here.

Yeh the player brands flogging phone covers, fragrances and tacky clothes shipped over from China are bad enough. But when the likes of Lingard and Depay start scamming numpties with NFTs and pyramid schemes is where you have to draw a line.

A lot of hangers on around some players, pushing them into this shit.

Though to be fair, Rio was pushing NFTs a couple of month back.

We're desperate for attacking players. Rashford is a pure counterattacker and nothing else, Ronaldo has age/motivation issues, Martial has motivation/fitness issues and Sancho is something of an enigma so far. Antony is a huge boost, but he needs time to bed in. Garnacho has bags of talent and energy, but he's a teenager.

We could do with a prover attacker, even if he is a bit of a mess at times.

That's disappointing. Shouldn't matter perhaps but now he just seems like a daft fecker. Don't want.

What exactly is wrong with this (apart form he’s promoting his NFT line which in itself is a load of bollocks)

He looks ridiculous (take your sunglasses off indoors you wanker), but I don’t think he’s really saying anything or do anything too cringe.

At least he’s not calling people beans and acting like a 5 year old. The cnut is just trying to make some more dollar.

It's not cringe. Just another celebrity using their fame to get some cookie cutter brand or project out. They do no work besides promoting it. But they pay handsomely to some artists or clothing mfr or perfume maker etc. So ultimately it's a good thing.
Just don't buy it if you don't like it.

Nothing wrong seeing young men and women trying to create investment and business outside of what will be their short lived sporting career. Better than blowing their money on booze and women. Dinho & Best wuddup.

We don't need another sub who is more focused on making money on the side than on his football - unless it guarantees the signing of de Jong. In any other case, feck no.

For free or 10M it's a no brainer, I'd rather we get him than Osimen. If CR7 goes, he can play as #9 when Martial is not fit, I think he is much better there than Rashford, granted he is slow to play on the wing and Rashford is much better there, but we have enough alternatives for the wings.

He is a good finisher, he is strong (contrary to what some are claiming), he has a very good technique and first touch, and his link up play is very good too. Especially in games when we are facing a low block he could be a great backup to Martial.
It’s his dream to be back up to Martial, no doubt.

The NFT prob winds up holding more value than his last United shirt.

Also doubt it's "honest fans" buying the NFTs. The ones whining about it probably still sitting at home on dial-up internet (look forward to your reply tomorrow). The ones buying are already in the speculative crypto space to begin with so ..don't hate the player hate the game.

No. Just think that we don't need to protect people from buying stupid things.

Edit: or call it cringe for others to sell them in the first place.

"Well they shouldn't be stupid enough" is irrelevant to a multi millionaire scamming them.

Think we are never going to agree on this because we have a fundamentally different view. Not all NFTs fall into that category.

Also, just because an adult film actress "created " a NFT line and defrauded a ton of fans doesn't mean Memphis plans to do the same. Assuming he does says a lot about the author of that opinion.

See above. Not fair to assume that's his goal. I see a lot commonality in these threads. Soon as a player does something outside of football it begets quite a bit of scrutiny. What y'all think of NFTs is a moot point. There was just as much disdain for Memphis' objectively terrible rap videos.

Wouldn’t mind him an option up front for us, numbers game and he would be a decent addition.
Matured as a player since leaving United and done very well. Sneaky feeling Chelsea may be interested in signing him up though.

I knew about his crappy rap songs but I just find them funny. Not a reflection of him as a person. If anything, it made him seem like a cool guy to hang out with (but terrible rap delivery my lord).

NFT is a scam though and Memphis should know better. Scrapping the bottom of the barrel for some extra cash is just low.

It isn't a scam though. It's probably a terrible investment but it is an asset. People pay money for comparable stuff all the time. A scam would be if they missold the asset or if there was no asset.
