From a quick glance, it's being shown on the BBC1 equivalent of France, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, from just a quick glance. Those channels have a significant share of viewership for their countries. Guess we'll just have to wait for viewing figures, however that's measured. It's going to be a very, very high number. Not quite sure what you're expecting?

That was one example, I'd expect the official live stream of a 'globally watched event' to have a bit more than that.

Why? It's on pretty much every TV channel in the UK, and as an example I used the US where it was live on pretty much every major news channel, another person gave Australia as an example where it was on four of the five main channels. Why would people watch something on YouTube they could watch on their TV (if they chose to watch it)?

It's more that I hate these people doing it rather than thinking the media circus doesn't pitch it as entertainment.

Then again I hate people who do it for any event its just especially jarring for a funeral. Social media wankers.

Makes no sense to me. It's being televised all around the world, whether people like it or not, it's a huge event and the eyes on anyone from around the world could've been on them. I wouldn't have wanted that level of pressure.

Of course. I mean imagine making a mistake at such a ceremony. It would published everywhere and etched in history. They’ve done an exceptional job.
