He doesn’t make average strikers look like Messi or Ronaldo at all and it’s this type of overzealous criticism that annoys many fans. He’s actually quite a good player who is going through a terrible time which is being intensified by the level of abuse and in many cases unjust criticism. No one has ever said that criticism is unjust but it has to be balances and have cause.
Yes, he’s started 4 games this season and we’ve lost everyone. Was he solely at fault? No. All four games were terrible team performances. By your own logic we should never lose a game when he doesn’t start.
