It's extremely naive to think this is the end of Ronaldo. Football contracts don't work like this.

Interesting thing would be how ETH will handle the situation if Ronaldo has a good world cup.
You don't go public saying you don't respect your manager and talk shit about your bosses and expect to carry on at the club.

I’m happy with ETH so far, yes we haven’t been playing good the past few games, but we have to keep in mind that, he’s implementing a system that most of the players haven’t worked with/haven’t been coached properly, also we are very wasteful in front of goal, most of the bad performances, we also produced enough to score multiple goals. If we take our good chances, a lot of the bad performances would look much better, also the whole dynamics of the game would change.

I’m not excusing the bad performances, and blaming it all on finishing, ETH have made some questionable decisions, but we also need to have some context, we’ll see how it will go after the World Cup, we just have to remember to stay patient, there will be ups and downs, remember the good performances as well.

People are delusional if they think yesterday was a good game. We were non existent from the 45th and 75th minute and our manager was late with the substitutions. Im aware the squad is limited and in that regard you cant blame the manager but subs are something that is in his control and they could have easly scored their second as well. Personally I want him to suceed but like I said "shades" of LVG I didnt say he was like him but people on the CAF love to nit pick I guess
It wasn’t a good game but we are still creating plenty of chances and the xG was again heavily in our favour (2.56 to United and 1.6 for Fulham).

Ultimately the forward area of the pitch is still not settled yet so there’s no consistency or chemistry. When we get a settle three playing together things will improve. Much like with the back four.

I’m surprised at the complaining about EtH.

How many times this season have we been able to play our best 11?

DdG

Shaw
Martinez
Varane
Dalot

Casemiro
Eriksen
Bruno

Rashford
Martial
Antony

I don’t think that 11 has started a game at all this season. We’ve had to deal with injuries to big players all throughout the season. Despite that, we’ve put up a good account of ourselves and have a game in hand and look well placed to make top 4.

I think people do realize it but don't realize how big a deal that is.

ETH has come out absolutely unscathed from this mess. Very impressive.
Yes, I wasn't a big fan of what I felt was an appeasement strategy but it has worked so well his fans have zero reasonable ammunition to say ETH didn't try his honest to god hardest to make this thing work. Even gave him captaincy when it made more sense to banish him. Ronaldo has played this hand like a fool.

He’s implementing a style and system and doing the best he can with the players he has at his disposal. If ole was there we would still be playing McFred, AWB and Maguire. Eriksen is a stop gate player who will be replaced in the summer. Centre mid and a striker are a must in the summer and will see a very different united. There is so many issues in the background at the club and it’s going to take a while to sort them all. Don’t forget players like Phil Jones are still earning 150k at United. It’s a mess he is getting thought but will take time. We were going no where under Ole spending 250 million on Maguire, AWB, VDB, Sancho. Ten Hags signing have been good.
I’ll be interested to see how Ten Hag will handle Ronaldo situation but definitely the right coach for United. I think he will bring back the glory days.

who do you feckin think ?
I presume that United and Ronaldo will agree to mutually terminate his contract.
its the right thing to do now, but this is what Ronaldo and his agent have wanted from the end of last season. It just seems a pity to make it too easy for them.

And let the ball go through his legs and deflect when Fulham made it 1 1.
Something that can happen to any defender. He could have kept his legs closed and you would be bashing Lindelof for not sticking out a leg and being passive. Attacker is really close to him so not exactly a lot of time to react, ball goes through his legs and bounced to Dan James. Just unlucky. Its clearly an agenda post. Lindelof will have enough games or moments for you to call Lindelof weak and whatever else you like to call him (passive, weak and all the other cool lingo that i see that is used to describe him) but he had a good game yesterday. Just save your agenda for a game where he isnt good.

Yeah he is bad and there will be nowhere to hide once Maguire isnt here next season. Im just sorry the team will feel that I really dont want to say to anybody "I told you so" I am genuenly frustrated with him. There has been waaay more agenda against Maguire

Wonder what he is thinking right now? Half a year ago he was working at Ajax with nice structure, culture, good team, home country, etc. Now he's walked into an absolute trainwreck on fire with the whole world watching. How he handles it will be important.
Shows the character of the man, he's not going to let even someone like Ronaldo ruin his chances of taking us back to the top.

He's instilling the correct standards as each month passes, back him with the right signings and he'll be going down in United folklore for all the right reasons.

I’m happy so far with how the seasons going. I’m more happy that we can enjoy the football we’re trying to play, it makes me look forward to every game, this couldn’t be said last season. I’m happy with how much we’ve improved with build up play, we’ve shown glimpses of what the manager wants. We just need it consistently.

Love ETH so much, how he handled Ronaldo this year shows how much of a fecking great manager he is, while building the squad and the dressing room into a team again.

So far I don't think being at United has fazed him at all. He hasn't visibly struggled with anything, he always looks confident and composed and like a guy who knows what he's doing. I don't think that'll change. And he's handled the Ronaldo situation very well so far. He's a proper manager with real belief

Ten Hag has always picked his teams on the performance of the players. If you don't cut it on the pitch, you are dropped.

Everything else outside of that is just a circus, and the club, the players and manager should ignore the likes of Piers Morgan, Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Ronaldo. Has been's trying to stay relevant are no concern of the gonna be's.

I would be happy if nobody at the club or the manager even bothered to commented on this tabloid nonsense.

A RVN level striker and we’d be 6-9 points better off. We have been so wasteful with our chances that it’s ridiculous. ETH must find it so frustrating.

I honestly believe any of our previous managers would make an absolute mess out of this. Mourinho? (OMG!!), Ole? LVG? RR?

ETH has shown his great man management over a short period of time. There's (probably) not a single fan would take ANY player's side when there's confrontation like this.

Agree, this has been my take from all this. He's suffered this guy all summer and has made a point of making a disciplinary example of Ronaldo while also extending the olive branch in allowing him back into the team and even making him captain at one point. He didn't do a Jose and banish him from the club; he was disciplined and then welcomed back.

This is all on Ronaldo who's had to resort to burning his bridges in the most tasteless way; EtH by contrast comes out of this looking very good with all the information we have so far.

He's brilliant, couldn't be happier. Just needs a few more windows, we have no depth and still need a striker and central midfielder.

I bet all other players have been observing what ETH would do. Some players would pounce on any sign of weakness from the manager. But so far, ETH comes out strong and firm while still showing trust and empathy. Just perfect. ANd he's a great coach too.

Yeah, we don't have any cover for Eriksen or Dalot, but a top CB and #9 and we'd be around 32-33 points and feeling real good, though ultimately probably in a race for 2nd with Arsenal

If my grandmother had wheels...

If anything, ETH should be frustrated with himself. He'd have seen last season's games and how our players play.

Based on that, he should've asked for a striker signing to be done as soon as he joined. Not wait for the two thrashings before rushing to buy Casemiro and Antony.

If by some strange quirk of fate he stays,(but no chance of happening really) TH should say, train with the reserves, keep out of the first teams way and I want you in the stand every game we play. Lets see what the fans think of you.

Arnautovic deal was almost done until we pulled out due to fans' complaints.

Tried hard to pursued Sesko but RB signed him up from their feeder club.

Gapko deal was almost done before we ran out of funds.

Some research would help before outrage.

Sorry that he has walked into the biggest circus of football. But he is the right man to handle the situation.

Ed is gone. Pogba and Lingard are gone. Ronaldo will be gone soon. Next maybe Maguire and AWB to go. All the problematic and unhappy players will not be here anymore soon.

Next season our rebuild will be much more advanced and the team spirit will be much better.

crazy....these are two players we absolutely had to get. A true holding mid with massive experience and a very talented left footed attacking player which we lost with greenwood

Enzo from Benfica and Kim Min Jae/Wout Faes would help him and Manchester United closer to theirs goals and ambition.

To be really really honest. At this moment. I would pick Enzo over Casemiro. With Enzo i have better feeling and belief. That Enzo is the ingredients and reasons that will help United back to the top.

Manchester United and Ten Hag need to bring Enzo Fernandez to Old Trafford. And one of Kim & Wout Faes. Plus a new top CF or at least Martial or Rashford starting to hit top level as CF

New additions :

+ GK: Diogo Costa. Porto
+ CB : Kim Jae & Wout Faes. Napoli & Leicester
+ Complete and allround cm : Enzo Fernandez. Benfica
+ CF : I haven't decide yet. But a new top CF

If United and Ten Hag get those players above. Then United will be title contender in the future. With them in the teams. Names and players to go after.

If there was ever a doubt that we hired the right man for the job, that doubt should now be gone for all. On the field we are playing much better, and are actually somewhat consistent...with still a ways to go.

But, more importantly ETH has handled this Ronaldo farce brilliantly. Hes shown class, patience, and authority. He hasn't been overly harsh on Ronaldo to make some sort of stupid point that he means business...but he also has been fair to the other players in keeping him on the bench and has been honest about Ronaldos missteps publically. I honestly can't think of a wrongly placed ETH move in this saga along the way.

He will come out of this, in some ways, better than if we sold Ronaldo in the summer. Hes endured some real adversity right out of the gates. He is the boss, he has a plan, and the players have bought in. Hes fair on the game-day lineups, and doesn't criticize to motivate. We finally have some accountability and stability...lets hope the Glazers don't f**k this up.
