a partial stake is just the press milking this for clicks. It's not realistic and definitely not viable.
There are 1.3billion 0f them. I am sure one of them will be a rich fan and interestedWhere did you get the Chinese bit?
Exactly why I want us to take Qatar off tableQatar will buy Liverpool I think and we'll get Ineos.
I mean Qatar and other oil states are not stupid. They will gradually funnel more and more of their oil revenue into other investments, to maintain their wealth in the long run. Norway's oil fund owns more 2% of all publicly traded European equity, for example. In the coming years, the Qatari will be finished as oil revenue drops. Green energy is quickly becoming cheaper than fossil fuels.
They are not a viable party for the long term.
These guys are so greedy delusional. "We couldn't find anyone to meet our inflated bloat valuation so we're just going to find someone willing to bail us out with hundreds of millions who also lets us keep the club". They are just going to run us into more future debt obligations.Tweet

The change is happening, look it up. Simple economics. Electric cars are cheaper.Complete and utter fantasy
Whatever helps you sleep at night buddy.
Absolutely. It’s one of the two reasons why it won’t happen.Any potential investors looking at buying a minority stake will surely be aware of the backlash they’d receive from the whole fan base? They’d be seen as the guys that bailed out the Glazers and kept them in charge, it would send the fans into absolute meltdown.
Partial investors is a nightmare because there is no guarantees of fecking off those leechesUnless we get taken over locally, we are better off with partial investers for now. As long as we can invest in our infrastructure.
Going to bed with Qatar will irreparably harm our image.
I’m trolling.I mean Qatar and other oil states are not stupid. They will gradually funnel more and more of their oil revenue into other investments, to maintain their wealth in the long run. Norway's oil fund owns more 2% of all publicly traded European equity, for example.
Opinion from a Roma player is pretty irrelevant, though.I would rather United never win another thing than United being owned by the Qataris.
Aye. I certainly hope that’s the case, we’ll never return to our former glory while these parasites remain in charge. Anything other than a clean break is simply unacceptable.Absolutely. It’s one of the two reasons why it won’t happen.
The other is they are holding the club back in terms of value. What investors with a brain would find that remotely palatable.
Just a negotiation tactic IMO. We’ve seen the same from the Qataris the other day saying they value us at 4.5 BillionAye. I certainly hope that’s the case, we’ll never return to our former glory while these parasites remain in charge. Anything other than a clean break is simply unacceptable.
Does Chris Smallings brother play with him?Opinion from a Roma player is pretty irrelevant, though.
Aye most likely, I guess no one will ever be completely at ease though until these feckers are out the door and it’s 100% confirmed the club has changed hands. Until then everyone will remain on edge, at least I certainly will.Just a negotiation tactic IMO. We’ve seen the same from the Qataris the other day saying they value us at 4.5 Billion
Yeah I understand that.Aye most likely, I guess no one will ever be completely at ease though until these feckers are out the door and it’s 100% confirmed the club has changed hands. Until then everyone will remain on edge, at least I certainly will.
Based on what?Qatar will buy Liverpool I think and we'll get Ineos.
Yeah can't help but feel on edgeAye most likely, I guess no one will ever be completely at ease though until these feckers are out the door and it’s 100% confirmed the club has changed hands. Until then everyone will remain on edge, at least I certainly will.
He better not be thinking about thisThem sticking around could be attractive to SJR bid, he may offer to service the debt if they agree to higher percentage of ownership.
However SJR when announcing his interest stated he would like part ownership leading to full ownership in the long term.
This just shows great lack of knowledge outside Manchester. UK may have electric cars but there are alot more countries than UK, unless you are ignorant and think otherwise.I would rather United cease to exist than being bought by someone who is born outside of Greater Manchester. When all cars are electric in 2-3 of years, oil states will crumble. Sir Jim Ratcliffe is the only one who seems to fit that criteria.
There was another story right after it saying any ME invest is all or nothing, not partial. So probably Glazers towing the line "not just full sale, could be a partial sale also", which is ideal for themAnyone read this latest “partial investment” story as Glazer PR to up the price?
Qatar have made it increasingly clear they want to invest in a Premier league side. If we're off the table then they'd look to other clubs for sale, one of which are Liverpool, which would be disastrous.Based on what?
Worst case scenario to be honest. I think it will be the other way around, and Sir Jim will use his bid for United to prove he can get the cash together for Pool.Qatar will buy Liverpool I think and we'll get Ineos.
Different group so they wouldn't have to, but I am expecting a partial sale of PSG in the next couple of years. If the Qataris take ownership then I think it will be the end of their association with psg too. Not suddenly but they will be walking away in the coming years from them.
Why are we off the table?Qatar have made it increasingly clear they want to invest in a Premier league side. If we're off the table then they'd look to other clubs for sale, one of which are Liverpool, which would be disastrous.
Let's not pretend this is a shock.I'll be sick if the Glazers stay after all thisTweet

that wasn’t seriousThis just shows great lack of knowledge outside Manchester. UK may have electric cars but there are alot more countries than UK, unless you are ignorant and think otherwise.
Sir Ratcliffe needs to take a loan to clear our debt, whereas rich owners will not just clear the debt, invest in the club and training facilities.
No chance if partial means keeping themLet's not pretend this is a shock.
This is the perfect scenario for them "you put down £3b, we give you 30% of the club and we take most of your money out in the form of a dividend and we'll kick some back to you also once you've paid for the new stadium".
We can only hope there's no one offering partial ownership and they're forced to sell for a big full offer instead. I think they'd rather take a small partial offer over a full one of given the option.
Look I get where you're coming from mate, what the Glazers have done to this club wasn't right at all.You may certainly feel that way and it's completely acceptable too. I feel that we deserve some good luck after 20 years of horrible owners.
Tell me this, if SJR takes on the debt to uplift our facilities and stadium, would you be against it or not want him as an owner of he wants to do that?
My bad, I cant tell who is serious and who isnt anymore on here.that wasn’t serious
If it goes to full sale I guarantee they find a way to get paid for another year in handouts. These slime balls won't walkway without taking more of the fans money first. No chance if partial means keeping them
Can live with them being paid just not owning clubIf it goes to full sale I guarantee they find a way to get paid for another year in handouts. These slime balls won't walkway without taking more of the fans money first.
