If we get an Arab nation with loads of dough, the hatorade will be overflowing.

Especially if the sanctimonious pricks over at Anfield get another US owner who's tighter than a duck's arse. They'll love having the higher moral ground and we'll love actually winning titles.
I'm certain one of Saudi or Qatar, whomever is unsuccessful with us will aim for Liverpool.

It will be hooked to my veins 24/7. I will no longer have to eat, drink, or sleep to survive. I will just feed on the hatred and rage.

the Grass isn't always Greener on the other side....remember that if we get sold to an oil state
Glazers leverage debt to acquire the club through banks and then place the debt on the club itself. Almost two decades of ownership there's been no investment into the clubs facilities. They then run salt in the wound and take out yearly dividends that the club produces. Then there's the super league fiasco and their involvement throwing Woodward under the bus when it's clearly a conversation they were complicit with.

It's not a situation of the grass being greener, there's no grass left but mould and dry wall. Good riddance.

You’ve backtracked a little here. I’m glad you’ve dropped the “I’m not ITK but…” BS because it just causes unnecessary confusion.

If you had actual information, you’d post it. There wasn’t any need to be so cryptic.

Backtracked? Dropped the ITK? Cryptic?

This thread is getting silly. Not sure how this post could confuse anyone.

I'm not claiming to be ITK or repeat what I've heard or anything like that. But all I will say is that's very good advice for the next few days.
Someone made a point and I agreed with it. Calm down.

State owned clubs have always had a poor view when injecting money into a club to get it started off the ground when the said club has inadequate organic revenue. By contrast this is a unique example of a very established club merely being owned by wealthy owners. You consider the City investigation you can almost guarantee it won't become a muscle flexing contest for spending the most. All that's required is a debt free model, infrastructure investment and a rational hierarchy to lead footballing matters.
If the Qataris bought us then if…

We could see some real progress regarding women’s rights, LGBT rights and basic human rights then it would all be hunky dory.
But I can’t see that happening just because they bought United.
Regimes love to keep the status quo of men being in charge and pretending to the outside world that they ‘promise’ to make changes.

Qatar will end up owning us.

Hopefully they put someone who isn’t unhinged like the PSG lad in charge.

No ridiculous statement signings please.
There won't be, Ten Hag will get the final say and we'll be run within the means of FFP and whatever financial restraints the PL put on us.

Well at least the club won't have more financial issues, and if City smash the PL with the FFP thing at least we'll be able to compete with their unhinged spending that will come right after the trial.

I wonder what'll happen to the transfer market post the inevitable billionaire takeovers of Utd, Spurs and Liverpool.

It'll be mad with all of them scrambling to one up each other every window. Chelsea and City obviously in the mix as well.

Spain, Italy and Germany might be forced to reanimate the Super League to remain competitive in the market.
FFP will dictate that our spending power will be based on income. We’ll probably get a huge shirt sponsorship deal and the debt will be cleared. I don’t think we’ll go PSG crazy but buying power will probably be the up there. Presumably we’ll become a privately owned entity again too.

But the club generates plenty of its own revenue, unlike City who uses “sponsorships” (fraud). FFP does not apply in the same manner.

Normally I'd agree but if the info coming from Qatar is true and FSG do not want to sell a controlling stake, I'd struggle to see why the Arab nations would bother.

If I was them, I'd go for Spuds with their excellent new stadium and London location. Unless they have a crazy Liverpool fan up high in the Royal family, I guess.

They will get sir Jim. Guy wants PL club. If he did bid for Celski then he will sure bid for Pool

Not sure. Think we’ll see everybody else drop out after this, can hardly offer less and expect a positive response.
To me, who knows nothing about this, it appears the auction is over and now it’s just details.
it’s amazing how Qatar have managed to make themselves the default option to the Glazers without any blowback. Nobody is fighting back for hearts and minds
Saudi Arabia at the very least would be prepared to match £5b I'm sure. The pretenders like Ratcliffe should drop out quickly though

And we’ll have CL money to boot plus a new shirt sponsorship that will be signed as soon as the takeover happens.
i don’t think we need to spend all that much, it really looked as if we planning on signing a top striker and midfielder before the takeover

Hate the sportswashing and state backed and all that and if I had it my way we wouldn't go for Qatar or Saudi. Sadly I'm merely a spectator.

That being said, after being flamed and roasted in every group chat every season post Fergie its time for sweet sweet revenge

Feck the Glazers fecking parasites.

I still refuse to believe. This season is just too good to be true. Everything is going way too good.
I'm not believing it myself and I expect it go wrong at any time, possibly ending in the hands of Ratcliffe, or worse. But I will take the opportunity to get hyped.

Hope this gets wrapped up quickly. The sooner the rat-tailed parasites feck off back to Tampa, the sooner we can make preparations for the summer and bring in what ETH needs to compete next season.

Feels like one of those Game of Thrones rug pulls, doesn't it? I hope we get over the League Cup final at least.

Saudi private bid for Chelsea couldnt match American bid. PIF is not involved. Its why no one is running with Saudi story. All major financial news outlets are running Qatar story

Putting aside the morality argument for a second, how can you not be excited for the football side of stuff. We're genuinely about to start being contenders, we have the beginnings of a great side and a great manager. After a decade of city and Liverpool winning everything in sight, its going to be amazing to be back at that level
