Sir Jim bid is 4bn. Think Qatar has started with lower end while SJR bid is near the maximum amount that they are prepared to pay. Could be completely wrong but thats my assessment
You could be right. I must have missed the SJR bid. I mean the top end of the Qatar bid could be a mad figure.

Yeah it was, but its a minefield if you want to enter into that discussion
I don’t, will never leave the thread if we start that one! But him calling the Glazers despicable whilst saying ‘what more can we want?’ in relation to possible Qatari ownership poses some interesting questions. Leaving it there!

Happy for the people who feel excited by this. Sad for the people who feel the club they support won’t feel like the club the supported anymore

Human rights?
Owners that don't lock up gay people in their country?
Look if they are terrible people tied to the control of an acceptable state get the government to ban them like Abramovich. Won't hear a complaint from me. But I've never heard of any of these guys and twitter can't seem to tell if it's the Kings brother or a random banker.

Geopolitics is million miles above my pay grade, all I can look at is what each of the heartless foreign billionaires are offering in their pitch for the club. The fit and proper owner test should be well above the input of random fans.

If he starts getting exclusive access then it wont matter. People follow Simon Stone because he gets fed news directly from the club. You can argue any sports journalism is basically that. You dont have good sources if you dont have good relationship with the club
Simon stone/bbc generally have a higher standard for vetting. they dont repeat what is being fed to them.. That's what good journalists do. They have some respect and dont want to be reduced to a mouthpiece pushing agendas.

I cant remember his name, but Jose had a journalist who would do his bidding too (Castles? ).. Its a good way of knowing what their (jose/qatar's) point/opinion is, but that doesnt make a good journalist.

Keegan is shit. he has been shit.. he remains shit.. he is just ITK now... till he is spat out for someone else.

I hear there'll be a bidding war. Bids will increase 1 euro at a time so it might take a while.

I really dont see a difference in what Stones does, Castles did or what Keegan's doing here. They are putting out what they are being told to put out. Stones gets the brief (along with a load of others) and puts it out. Keegans's been well briefed here in the same way.

I thought it was Foundation 92 in the original article.
"The bid will be completely debt free via Sheikh Jassim's Nine Two Foundation" -- from the statement. There is no such Foundation owned/funded by Sheikh Jassim at this time, or at least in the public record as far as before this statement. So it is something to be set up.

Oh so they're tying themselves to the class of 92 foundation for community purposes. Small wins...

My guess is bad translation but actually meaning this:
