Flying at the moment, thought he was actually quite poor in the first half. But one thing about Rashford is no matter how poor he is, he is always a threat running in behind. Better in the second half felt more of a threat coming off the left.

His finishing is becoming so lethal. You just back him to score every time he's put through. Perfect at timing his runs too. Seems to understand Fred better than anyone else in the known universe.

Asked it a couple of match threads ago but is this the highest top level at Utd since Ronnie in 08/09?

RVP maybe the only possible other answer?

I had to give MOTM to Bruno, but Rashy was exceptional again. Delighted to see him taken off- we need to wrap him in cotton wool any time we go a couple of goals up.

Time to re-open the Rashford Vs Mbappe thread? :wenger: What a season he's having. It's getting to the point you expect him to get a goal every game now.

It will help him even more when we get a proper centre forward in the summer.

He's almost as clinical as RVP at the moment. The way he finishes chances is still not as assured, but he's converting chances and that's what counts. That shot he had that was saved is an example of this. RVP would've had that in the far bottom corner.

Rooney in 09/10 was great. 26 in 32 in PL and 34 in 44 overall.

41 G+A in 44 games.

The hot streak obviously isn't going to last but even in terms of his underlying stats, his non-penalty xG per 90 is double what it has been in the last two seasons.

Thinking about it, he's probably the first top class attacker we've had in his prime since van Persie.

His turnaround has been nothing short of spectacular. We all obviously knew he was a great player but nothing came off for him last year. I could see why people didn't want his contract renewed because they presumed he would just carry on as he was.

But his dribbles are coming off, his runs are excellent, he's way more composed with his finishing. Was hoping he would top it off with a hattrick.

Bravo Marcus.

Long may it last, hopefully he gets even better with Sancho seemingly finding his feet too.

He's unbelievable now. I can't believe his turnaround. He's not even just got back to the old Rashford we knew he could be, he's levels above.

We knew that when in form, he was capable of going past players like they aren't there and he's always had a cannon of a shot on him - but now he's making very smart decisions with the ball most times he gets it, knows when to lay it off and bring others into play, and not just in a "pass it back where it came from" way, but in a way that advances the attack. He's getting assists. He's scoring goals with his head.

What a player he is now. He's passing my hopes for what he could become. Long may it continue.

Something has really clicked for him with the way he's timing those runs and identifying the spaces. In fairness to the rest of the team, they know exactly what to expect from him and keep playing it into the spaces for him to chase it down. The hot streak will probably end at some point but he'll still be a huge threat even then.

He is unbelievable. I love him. Wonderful player and person.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to  at Southgate. Can't wait til that absolute clown gets fired. Rashford still finished England's top scorer. He deserves better than to be benched for his country by a charlatan.

2 goals. Thought he could have done better with his shot that was saved after beating two players, early in the 2nd half. Contributed to the move for Sancho's goal.

The goals keep coming. I go into every game expecting him to score. The next Ronaldo. Yeah, I said it. :p

I think RVP and Bruno when he first joined were higher levels but this is still incredible

I’d put it somewhere above Rooney when he had that amazing run before his injury playing upfront

Unbelievable. Best player around since the World Cup finished.
Was also one of the best players at the World Cup. Somehow only played 137 minutes when England had 5 matches and still managed 3 goals.

He's made Southgate look like the biggest mug since the world cup

The fact that we didn't see a front of Rashford - Kane - Saka playing together much of any minutes was criminal and likely cost a spot in a WC Final
