Definitely offers nothing in our own half or even in the central areas of the field. He’s at his best in the final third. At his age and with his general qualities, I’d rather we pass on him on a permanent deal. Hopefully he steps up a bit more in Casemiro’s absence, though.

Doesn’t play like a central midfielder at all. He’s a goal threat but with no Casemiro we need somebody who will take the ball off the centre backs. That’s not him.

Looks more like a Fred / Bruno replacement than someone who will be useful for Eriksen / Casemiro. He's decent enough but I think we require someone who can help us play through midfield.

Poor first half but improved as the game went on. Would probably like to see him more with Fred or Casemiro because that midfield dynamic just looked out of sorts.

His skillset is quite practical, no overdosing, just trying keep things simple, almost oldschool. Can press, can position himself in the box, not too shabby for a deep sub for Bayern.

Play him more.

Yeah, hes more energy than controller.

Its so important that we get a midfielder controller to rotate with Eriksen next season.

He's a more consistent version of Fred. His top level is worse than Fred's but his bottom level is better. Happy for his first goal, took his chance well and hope we get him into shooting positions more.

I don’t think we should sign him permanently. We need more players who can help us in the buildup phase with quality passing and awareness

Keep him on interview duty. Perfect responses to make the interviewer look like an eejit. More people should do it. Not the players job to make the most out of idiotic questions.

I don't think we really need him next season, unless he's really cheap to get. But he's not getting game time ahead of Fred and Eriksen, so not sure if he really would like to be here.

Must say he has got great technique when shooting. Always seems to get good contact with the ball no matter awkward the approach or pass.

Contrary to many on here I really like the look of him and I hope we make him permanent. A reliable jack-of-all-trades type midfielder is very important for our next step forward.

Fred is better, as erratic as he can be.
It's kinda unfair to make comparisons. Fred has been here 5 years, Sabitzer not even 5 months.

I'd rather have a player that I can say is good or bad. With Fred you have no idea as 1 half he's not even related to a footballer, next half he's on course for a Ballon d'Or.

For me he’s a necessary upgrade. We need to be able to bring in squad players who can actually play football, as opposed to the likes of McTominay who can’t.

Yeah he has some obvious qualities but he’s not really what we need right now.

Nice guy but in reality he is average. We have had enough of that over the years. He will be a sub, not a starter and he won’t be good enough often enough to come on from the bench and make a difference.

If we are looking to sign someone permanently, they must be able to make an impact from the bench.

I agree -- but whether or not he's willing to stay even if he knows he won't start every game is an entirely different matter.

I like him. He makes good runs and doesn't take much out of it when he has the ball. He plays it quick and simple. Will work a lot better with case behind him. He's definitely an 8 that pushes on making runs towards the box and presses high. He isn't a deep lying midfielder that builds possession

I rate him. For £15-20m I think he's a clear upgrade on both McTominay (who will hopefully be sold in the summer, along with Donny) and Fred (who I'm fine with as a squad player for now).

Sabitzer and a new starting CM would leave us with Casemiro, New CM, Eriksen, Bruno, Sabitzer and Fred as midfield options going into next season.

Alright squad player, would keep him on team-friendly contract and if he is happy to play about 50% of the games.

Yes he is decent. Ideal for giving Eriksen a rest either as rotation or subbing on and can also cover for Case. I like him.

Personally I think we need two CMs who can help us build from deep with an ability to playmake or pass between the lines. With Fred, Casmeiro and Sabitzer I think we’d have too many mediocre or inconsistent passers (Casemiro can be very good but also play random terribly misplaced ones).

And with Sabitzer signed I don’t think we can afford it. It just leaves us too heavy on the not a possession team side which we desperately need to get out of. If we didn’t have Fred I’d take him but we do.

He won’t be happy with that at all. Why would he? If we sign him, nobody will be telling him he’s only playing half the time.

We still need to see Case and Sab together. Sab will be much better in that set up.

I don't think he's better than Fred honestly.

Personally I dont see what he brings to the team. Missing most of the game, didnt help control the midfield either. We need to look above these levels if we want to compete for the premier league. He cant cover for Eriksen or Casemiro completely, somewhere in the middle which we already have in Scott and Fred.

Rather we sign 2 CM a ball playing midfielder who helps control tempo and a proper DM to backup for Casemiro.
