Should have played more this season. Not as good as Varane or Licha but a very competent backup who is miles better than the captain.

Hopefully ten Hag wises up and plays Lindelof-Shaw will the end of the season (or until Varane returns).

Maybe its another Ronaldo situation where hes given him enough rope to hang himself. Throw him in often enough to show it doesn't work

Probably one of the best games he's had in a United shirt. He's had some good games over the years but rarely one where there wouldn't be someone else on the pitch that showed something more impressive or decisive. He's usually in the background, quietly doing his job when he has his good games. Today he was pivotal with his defending, battling on well when he looked fecked, and nailing a pressure penalty to win a semi final.

Brilliant today, as he often is. He’s a quality centre half.

But it doesn’t have to be. Maguire despite being captain for Ole reasons, is universally considered a shit player. I do not think United fans disliked a player more since Fellaini and I do not remember a player who was as a big meme generator as him.

Dropping Maguire makes everybody happy. This isn’t a Rooney/Ronaldo situation where it is hard dropping a legend whom the dressing room adores.

I think the suspension has worked out nicely for the manager, gave him a chance to partner Shaw and Lindelof without there being a big drama about Maguire being dropped.

What a penalty that was. He played excellently today all round, but it's not like we haven't seen this before. There's been so many occasions where he plays really well in a particular game, cool calm and collected but then before long you're back cursing his weaknesses again. But today was really good, so hopefully the two of them get an extended run out at CB together and he keeps this level going.

Fantastic today, and as others stated he's been very good the games he doesn't have to play with Maguire.

I hope ETH sees how much Harry destabilises our entire defense and fecks him off for free to Kazakhstan in the summer.

Silenced a few cafe posters who were calling for him to be sold. Hes a good footballer and a decent defender. A keeper for me.
yes there are some calling him to be moved on but there is a a lot who mentioned he was a good lad an as captain of Sweden he probably would prefer a starting position elsewhere.

Happy for him and DDG tonight...doesn't change my opinion as its just a one off game, but its nice when players have a good game and get credit for it.

Fair play to the lad, he stepped up big time today. And that penalty was class. I’d certainly keep him over Maguire anyday of the week.

Good, solid performance.

Exactly what we should expect from backup players, no fuss and just get on with the job.

Not a big fan of his but credit where credit's due. Did alright defensively and kept his cool for the penalty. Better than Maguire in just about every department.

Well played Victor you looked like a top notch CB using AWB to nullify any threat on the right might have helped.

He was excellent today. I’m generally not a fan but he deserves loads of credit for his performance

Said this before even when he was shaky. He'd walk into most teams in the league, like spurs and even Chelsea. It's just our standards are ridiculous.

A bit of a dramatic statement, but is it possible his United career has been hampered by Maguire? He's played the bulk of his time here partnered with slabhead, so he''s unfortunately collectively been bundled in as one of the 'chuckle brothers', but considering Maguire has the unique talent of making any CB next to him look awful, we might have not judged him fairly.

Either way if Varane remains unfit, I'd like to see this partnership with Shaw continue.

Would never sell him. Absolute spot on 4th choicer in a Fergie team. He isnt the walking dead like MaGuire or Jones. He can do a job as a squad player.

When he's good he's very good, close to Varane level almost. He just needs to be consistent.

He’s been very solid this season. He hasn’t played a lot, but I really can’t recall a bad performance. Should be the third choice CB (if Shaw is LB) at the very least.

Possibly his best game for Utd and capped it off with the all important ice cool penalty.

Great day for him. Should be ahead of Maguire now.

Really don’t get why Lindelöf is lumped in Maguire, he’s a far better centre back and has got us off the hook countless times. Hope he stays at the club.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
Today he was very good but there's a reason he's been called passive over and over and over again. He has the tools but doesn't use it enough on his own terms. If he finishes the season strongly, then maybe we can reassess.
Yep, he's had the occasional match where he's shown a lot more aggression but doesn't seem to be able to maintain it. I remember him dominating Juventus a few years ago and being the best player on the pitch, then again against Leicester in the last match of the season where the winner got top four.

Hopefully he can maintain it this time until the end of the season at least.

Can't believe one day I'm saying Lindelof should be MOTM but he absolutely was yesterday.

Anyway the fact Brighton is a possesion team and not a long ball one with a huge strong #9 helped massively imo. He's always been good against that kind of opponent.

He's thousand times better than Maguire and I've always thought as such. Maguire should be binned immediately, he's not even fit to be a sub. Lindelof is good enough to cover.

Beast of a performance. Very best I have seen of him at United. Great penalty to seal the deal as well.

A fellow United fan at the pub made a good remark: Lindelöf always seems to find his level depending on who plays next to him. Lindelöf will always struggle with Maguire because the bar is just so low with Maguire and because there is zero chemistry there, but he can deliver the goods when he plays a longside someone competent as his CB partner.

That is the advantage of being a team. It’s a team game, not just a collection of individuals. I rate Lindelof, personally.
