Blimey. Another twist to the tale. Part of me thinks this is just two journalists out to get clicks by writing something vague and in the middle. Where I have doubt is the timing of the Friday brief. It was about 7pm UK time and the likes of The Times came out suggesting similar to what the fricking Sun/Express had said a day before. Then, moments later Keegan who has been considered the mouthpiece of QATAR Bid also corroborates it. IMO writing is on the wall

But why would the majority owner of any company deliberately dilute the share price of a company they own ? If anything, it would be in their interest to make the price go up, and likewise, if the two Glazer brothers were to remain, they would want it as well.
Well he can do it to push out the glazers without paying them a cent. The new owners are getting more shares while the price goes down. The overall value of their holding remains the same. Whereas the minority stakeholder loses out as he will neither get new shares nor will he gain any value as the price gets diluted.

I am pro Jassim too but I am not too sure anymore. If he can't compete with SJR in offering the Glazer's something more lucrative, how will be write off the debt, build us a new stadium, install competent people to run the club, and invest money in our squad?

Seems like he isn't really a front for the Qatari regime, we just assumed it. He is probably an individual who is way out of his depth right now.

Apparently he was funded by Qatar but they lost big on the Credit Suisse failure so aren’t too keen to throw money the way if a football club at the moment

Realistically, is it fair to say this deal isn't going to get done in time for a proper transfer window, and the Glazers won't want to spend in it if they are on the way out as owners?

Meaning we are going to have a summer of limbo.
Yeah hence why we need to look at signing a couple of free agents such as Rabiot & Thuram

Yeah the Credit Suisse thing has really scuppered their bid by the looks of things

Does the shiek even have the cash? I mean I’ve heard a lot of promises but he’s a complete unown in the business world compared to Jim.

Reading his Wikipedia he’s achieved very little in life for the cards he’s been dealt.

People are just assuming he has billions to throw at us because of his dad. This might not be the case at all. Everyone knows Jim has cash despite saying he’s broke. :houllier:

On the United stand for example Mark saying Jim hasn’t got money is just absolutely ridiculous. Meanwhile twerks for a guy with a net worth of a 10th what Jim has who has zero track record.

Got it. That certainly makes more sense than some of the other theories being shared on this forum.

I refuse to believe Raine would be that unprofessional
They are probably on a commission. The higher the fee, the higher the cut. Raine cannot care less what others think. They only care to make as much money for their owners and themselves. However I believe that these leaks come from the Glazers rather then Raine

Raine have told the pricks they can top the Commanders sale. That's the benchmark figure. Can feel it.

Raine’s reputation is more important to them than a commission.

I find it so odd that people have been actively cheerleading for Qatar when they know very little about what their plans are.

On the United Stand, Mark Goldbridge is a Nottingham Forest fan who realised that pretending to he a United fan and saying controversial opinions on the Internet is a good way to become famous. The fact that he's somehow become a "voice of the fans" is bizarre.

Reputation to whom though? To the fans? They can't be arsed. To prospective sellers? Yes, which is why they would would use all the tricks in the trade to squeeze every possible dollar out of the deal. To prospective buyers? They don't make money by appeasing those. Also potential buyers will one day become sellers and they would want someone at their side who is ready to do anything to gey them money

Says who? I'm amazed people still say this line  wasn't this a thing purely created by another youtuber who was bitter at Goldbridge's success? I don't know why people don't focus on the platform he gives thick thick thick supposed supporters who are just the worst sort of football fans instead of that nonsense.

This is what I find the most ridiculous. We know for a fact Sir Jim can easily afford us and we know how much he is with and what Ineos is worth which he owns.

As for Jessim we know he doesn't have anywhere near the money to buy any football club let some United

What do we mean by big? QIA held under 7% of the bank's shares.

We don't know that, which depending on who you are can be considered an issue.

Joint bid stuff is nonsense, but I think the full takeover bidders should both agree to tell raine that if they don’t have a decision by X date then they’ll both withdraw their bids

(if that story is true, which I doubt)

Why wouldn’t it be true? Every other story quotes source close to Raine group, this seems to be the first time either bidding party has leaked their say

I can’t tell if people are being disingenuous by now claiming the Sheikh is some Knighton-esque spoofer that doesn’t have the money for the club. Unless it serves this “He’s just a private bidder who happens to be connected” narrative.

He’s just a bloke that swanned up to negotiations carried out by merger and acquisition experts Raine Group and got through to the third round of bidding without anyone thinking to check if he’s actually got any money.

Goldbridge = Nottingham Forest fan?

Ratchcliffe = Chelsea fan?

The most pathetic thing is that, you aren't shameful to support a Chelsea season ticket holder to buy Man Utd.

Too much double standards from you.

You’ve got to be in it to win it. What’s to say he couldn’t have gotten away with the greatest grift since Oceans 12, where the makers of those movies managed to convince everyone to pay to watch a movie with no discernible plot, or even effort put into the production.

You’d have thought that a deal of this magnitude with all these highly paid smart arse lawyers and super rich investment bankers involved would be much more cleverly calculated and professional than simply leaking that one bid is higher in the hope that the other bidder ups their offer.

It’s literally all clickbait shite. Are you that naive?
I dunno who that guy is, but literally every post he’s done since he joined is arguing with someone, or insulting someone. Scroll through. Literally every single one

He said I was wrong about something, proved I was right, then he hid. Seems a typical weasel
