I encountered a thunder one and it kicked my arse so I decided to come back later in the game. Assume they're more late game enemies.
Yeah same here. It's a bit odd there's been zero mention of them from any NPCs as the game does a great job of organically letting you know what everything is the more you explore. Hopefully they will come into things later on.

I need star fragments to upgrade an armour piece and I've gone hours without seeing any.

Stumbled on those hands that move around and what comes next when you defeat them... Kicked my ass. Nowhere near ready for those

fecking hated them in the first one.

I’m still very early game I think. Only investigated and finished one of the ‘phenomena’.

Wait they had those in BotW? Are we talking about the same thing? The group of gloom hands that are sticking up from the ground that move real fast and you need to bombard with bomb arrows or fire arrows and then the real enemy comes when you beat the group?

No they’re new. I encountered them early and it was a big fat nope from me. Definitely a late game enemy.

Oh shit maybe I’m thinking of the giant hands from Elden Ring.

Definitely because

Afterwards you have to beat Dark Ganon as a mini boss. But he´s not that tough really, you just have to backflip and flurry

They're different sets of armor. I've spent a good bit of time exploring the depths but still haven't found the central mine or many statues. Feel like i've probably walked past the mine 20 times at this point and just keep missing it.
Im on 50 shrines finished. Think its the only thing i've really progressed. Started a million quest chains but haven't got far in any.
:mad::mad::mad:
I'm glad i googled it in the end. Have about 80% of the depths map uncovered looking for the first stupid mine.
Dont be dumb like me. Just follow the first set of statues to new power.

Got the master sword

Also haven't gotten auto build yet. Refuse to look it up... But definitely missed something. Only completed wind temple so far.

I complete shrines in the dumbest ways. There’s no way they had this in mind when coming up with it

What outfit is that I can't tell?
I just finished the last phenomena. I had to ride Farosh almost his entire path even underground and still need a Horn :(

Do you want some kind of hint?
I got lucky and found it after ~10 hours.

Im at ~80 hours played right now, I completed 73 shrines and have around 120 korok seeds.
Ive only done the wind temple so far but I plan to go to Zoras domain the next time I play.

My original plan was to go to all towers first and reveal the whole map.
I have only three regions left, those in the south center and south left where both towers seem to have some electric malfunction and the Zora one. I assume the Zora one is related to the story and I have to clean the mud first, right?

Can I get these two towers in the south to work right now or are they related to the story?

It felt obvious when i got it. But i'd been looking for it by wandering around figuring i'd stumble on it sooner or later and I dont think i ever would have. I'm pretty certain i passed by it 4 or 5 times.
Got heroes pad and thought it was cool too. Mine was a like a series of spiderwebs.

You can get all towers without any story steps

I kind of like that some things just completely take you by surprise and aren’t referenced anywhere occasionally. The sad part is that I expect it now. With BOTW, the first time you see one of the dragons in the sky…

It’s one of the early ones I just dyed it white.

Scouring every grain of sand in Gerudo desert just for a Gerudo shield. Tried to find a silver Lynel to beat down no luck so far

Hmmm...can you give me some small hints on the towers I mentioned?
You can get rid of mud. The items you need are probably scattered around the tower.
I dont remember the other 2. If it lightning related then any metal item can be used to complete a circuit. Its usually get lightning from one place to another. Spears work but there'll probably be a more obvious choice

Have you tried doing the main mission there? Or done it already and need new ones
Yea I am pretty sure I had them and tossed them at a certain point. Now doing a few quests have to circle back. Found it yesterday finally after going for all the random chests in the desert. Had to do the same thing in another zone with stuff I had tossed already or broken but needed later.

No spoilers but pay attention to NPCs that say they can make things for you and what you need for them save yourselves some time and having to backtrack farm.

So much stuff around Death Mountain. I’m constantly worrying that I’ve missed something or an area.

Why does Yunobo shout “why’d you do it?!” when I launch him?

I regret all those Koroks I left stranded without a way to their friends because I had more important things to do. Now I need more room.

I'm finding this everywhere I go. The sky islands are a gold mine of missing gems, even when you feel you have covered the minimal area they cover
They need a "things you might have missed" list you can check when you think you're nearly done with the game.

The Heroes Journey option or whatever it’s called is good for that a bit. You can at least see where you’ve been and if you’ve never stepped foot in an area.

Oh God, the giant hands of Elden Ring I had fecking nightmares about those. I think I yelled profanities at my TV after killing them even in my 5th playthrough.

I think I know what you're talking about here. If they're to do with the gloom. When they gave chase I panicked, fired a bomb arrow way past them and legged it. The rest of the time in that area I creeped around to not stumble into them again.

I adore this game. It's all I want to spend my time on currently.

Dunkey did a second vid  Couple of very mild story scenes. I wouldn’t consider as spoiler but just to warn.

I'm pretty sure I just found out the light roots are all underneath a shrine :nervous:
