I have a nephew who know Delaney and Jacobs. He told me that United might or might not be sold and if they do it might go to jassim, ineos or somebody else. He also told me that the information is as credible as a virtue signaller working for Russian oligarchs and business men who suck up to the Saudi Royal family.

Would make sense If that was the case. Ratcliffe jumping into bed with Joel and Avram isn't going to go down well
I reckon they’re waiting for the season to end so no game to protest around then they’ll spend heavy in the Summer & hope that the majority of the backlash blows over by the time next season kicks off.

Absolutely no knowledge but feels like whatever the decision is they’re waiting till our games are over & there’s less of an event for fans to protest around for a few months.

Thats how I would do it if I did a deal with the devil which will make half the fanbase furious from day 1. Once the initial anger calms we are stuck with him and his Glazer pals

Wife's niece's bloke not far off, to be fair.

I guess this means we are, still, in the 'we're gonna sell to INEOS unless you wanna change your bid' stage of things.

I thought that the home crowd loved Sir Jim

Make of this what you will as I can’t 100% confirm it yet. Will know more later. But my wife’s nephew works at Teamviewer so gets to do some promotional work with Utd. Anyway he’s been told he’s shit at his job and is likely to get sacked next week. I’ll know more soon. Will keep you updated.

Yeah right.

We see through it now don’t we. INEOS apparently have been leading for about 3 months and there’s still no deal.

They have zero interest in selling to Jim and want to squeeze every last pence out of Qatar they keep pulling the same shit

The Ineos bid is, as expected, still in the lead. Qatar will need to up their offer or I expect we'll hear shortly after the cup final that Ineos have been granted exclusivity.

Sky News are very reputable in comparison with Sky Sports News.
When it comes to the Glazers, at least we know they're doing something and hopefully won't be the owners of the club for much longer. I needed that at least.
What's the point. They aint going anywhere and Ratcliffe aint gonna do anything to improve us.

Lead bidder means bid more right? How any party is seen as in the lead when nothing is happening hurts my head.
Absolute shit show. If Jim’s bid ticks all the boxes then just pick him then, seems nobody knows what the feck they want.

At what stage do one of the bidders publicly back out, they're been taking for a ride here.
If Jassim really is a United fan surely he's gotta do this now, so we have a chance at a transfer window.

Still taking this hard hey?

You do know that Qatar are heavily invested in Russia, and continue to be so despite the Ukraine war. They are also a huge shareholder in Rosneft, a Russian oil company. Every time you come up with something to throw at Ineos, it can immediately be fired back at Qatar. The only thing that they don't have in common is the Brexit vote, but in reality I would imagine the Qataris are more Tory than Labour so it's a bit of a wash.

We know you support Qatar unequivocally, you can do so without making spurious negative posts about their rivals though.

Edit - the Qataris also have extremely close links to Saudi too. Aside from the difficult relations they had a few years ago that goes without saying.

Edit - QIB also does business with Sudan, if you want to start questioning business associates.

If that tweet reflects the real situation then the delay is probably due to the following reasons:
1. One more try to squeeze more money from Qatar.
2. If Sheikh Jassim does not react then announce Ineos after the FA cup final, as the backlash from the fans could be huge.

Definitely the way I see it. Glazers wanting to sell to Qatar hoping they up their bid again I think.

Really can’t se what delaying it does, it leaves the fanbase all summer to come up with protests for the start of next season. There’s really no way to mitigate the backlash imo

Basically no one knows. Cracking updates by media folk.
Harsh on the media.

Think we have to accept that “no one knows” is literally the update and it isn’t the media that’s clueless, it’s United’s owners.. as usual.

People have short attention spans.

A few shiny signings in the summer will take the sting out and the leeches can go on murdering the club.

Yeah its all about getting the extra money and it's clear as day. The interesting thing is when they refused to enter into exclusivity with one group what then was the end game because the club can't continue to be in limbo?

There will absolutely not be significant backlash if INEOS buys us. This is a fantasy of overly online supporters. Local fans are not obsessively following the ins and outs of this and developing strong opinions on finer details, they just want the Glazers to no longer control their club and if they hear that INEOS are going to purchase a controlling stake in Man Utd they will be happy, as they would be happy if it was reported Qatar are going to take over the club.

There is zero criticism on ineos in that post

I read that Raine are part owned by the UAE group who owns Man City

Which probably explains why the Qatari bid is being messed about

What a coincidence, my dad's mum's grandchild's brother works at Coventry New Unasinous Terrace Services, his dad works in the canteen. Apparently someone heard it's SJ who's not won the bid and they're telling everyone!

Seems like there maybe something or possibly nothing happening!

Signings, if INEOS comes in and they drop a 400m pound transfer window the appetite for protests will die down. If the Glazers know anything, it's this playbook.

It's stupid stuff like this that really annoys me. Basically them human slugs claiming that the club may be worth more, despite the fact we have done nothing but run it in to the ground and build enormous debt.

It's the kind of crap estate agents come up with when selling a house, they want to realise all the profit linked to potential without the current owner lifting a finger, it's perverse.

Unfortunately they seem to have found an owner whose willing to dance to their tunes

Not sure that’s true, we spent a fortune last summer and nothing was soothed over.
Our fanbase was literally protesting them during a cup final just a few months ago
