I think we’re a good 2-3 weeks away from INEOS being named as preferred bidder and then plenty more back and forth until takeover is finalised.
That's my primary concern with the INEOS offer right now. Looks to be nowhere near.

Exactly, whenever someone says it's been a rough 10 years I don't understand why. I look back fondly to those years and all that delicious moral superiority who cares City won 7 premier leagues in that period and we've won none.
Correct i wear my dads wollen handle downs don't heat the house with that middle east gas. I don't drive on that Eco destroying oil. Didnt watch the game, listened to it on my british made 1950's radio as everything is made in China. City's top of the pile who cares my morals are intact. P>S written on my mates iPhone whatever that is.

I think the Glazers don’t know what they want whoever the preferred bidder is. QatarI bid looks dead in the water but if that did emerge as preferred bidder that could take a lot longer to go through.

Hope I’m wrong but we’ll start next season with Glazers still in control I’d imagine.

Look, I understand.

Human rights are less important to you than your favourite football team having more trophies.

If you envy city and their operation so much, join them.
Your statements will come back and hunt you later.

I won't ever be saddened or angered by City's success. I'm only angered by how the United fanbase has reacted to the Qatari takeover news. We are probably the best suited club in the world to match and overcome these scummy clubs (even long-term), but instead you just want to become like them. Congratulations.
Whilst on the face it is a great take on things but your analysis and discredit of folk like me who is pro Qatar bid is annoying to say the least. You can sit on your high horse as much as you want but I'm not in the game other than being a supporter of United. The money is out of control I didnt do that, The players wages is out of control I didnt do that. Sit the players at United down and state there is a lack of money as Glazers are staying ( for example " Hey Rashford you are down to 100k a week and the rest of you will also have your wages cut in half and see how many of these players ,we support with passion, are still there next week. Surely they will stay as they have moral stance on" no Qatar money and human rights". You wont blink in time for them to be lying on a Beach in Dubia phoning their agents. If you don't like the rules of the game make you moral stance, I meanwhile will change the things i can and ignore the things i can't and have the sense to know the difference.

Of course they're silent, they couldn't care less about the fans or how they're feeling.
We just lost a final, means feck all to them, i seriously doubt they give a single care about it in all fairness.

Sooner they're gone the better

When has a PL club failed to pay its players? I don't know what you're getting at with that example. If anything, our inflated wage bill is still very sustainable even with the Glazers taking money out of the club, and almost all of our players earning 20-30% more than they should in reality. We've also outspent almost every other club in the world in the last 10 years.

If you don't like the rules of the game make you moral stance, I meanwhile will change the things i can and ignore the things i can't and have the sense to know the difference.
Don't worry, I'm done with football altogether as soon as I see a murderous regime getting their hands on my club. You and millions of others will just turn a blind eye to everything Qatar does because that's the most convenient thing for you..and I bet the plastic trophies that come with those cnuts will be very enjoyable.

Desperately need some good news here, and no, Ratcliffe taking over with all of the Glazers staying is not good news.

It really makes no sense to me how the deal would make it through... it's clear that 4 of the Glazer siblings want to sell up and take the money, so why would they agree to something which means they won't have instant cash? (Unless they sell voluntarily, but still)

I just know that Abramovich's Chelsea, Qatar's PSG, the Saudis' Newcastle and Abu Dhabi's Man. City are a cancer to football and they stand for most of the things that are wrong with it.

I agree fully about United being the suited club to organically compete against those clubs. I’m saddened by how many think Ratcliffe is that guy to take us there. Nothing has shown us he is capable of elevating a football club, since the takeover bids started everything is pointing to him being just as slimy as the Glazers. What’s sad is if he’s bid is successful in 2-4 seasons people will realise.

This is so good and true. Selective outrage is so exhausting.

Man the glazers are elite tier at giving the silent treatment. I think Avram actually enjoys it.

As a sporting institution and a global iconic club its nothing short of a disaster what has happened to Utd, essentially being owned by opportunists who's only love for the club is its vast economic standing, if the fans want real change then they simply have to stay away from the games, by the thousands.

Not sure what anyone expected him to say. The club is in the middle of the sale process and he's no doubt been advised by lawyers and other professionals to not comment publicly on the situation.

Now, with that said, the lack of communication through official channels has definitely been irritating.

That's the way I see it. We obviously don't like it but they're trying to get the best deal for themselves as they're businessmen/women with no sentimental attachment to United.

So do we think Jassim will again bid or will get "frustrated" as Jabobs is suggesting and "walk away"?

There's no excuse now for sale agreement not be sorted as soon as possible, every day this drags on it will hurt our planning for next season.

I would say the Glazers are worse than all of those quoted.

A lot worse. They have invested Glazers have extracted.

Kronke until this season has been equally .poor and given their level of wealth they have been miserly.

Only one I would suggest has been good is the Fulham guy.

I was hoping we would see at least one of the main figures of the bidding parties to show up in the stadium today. Disappointing to see neither. As for the Glazers, they are right up there with the scumbag that Dan Snyder is.

At least any risk that the Glazers wouldn't sell because they thought we were on the cusp of winning more stuff has gone!

After the bullshit he pulled last summer, he's just Mason Mount in defence.

Both shouldn't be near to United if we want to go into games like today feeling we're at least on equal footing
Although there was talk Ten Hag favoured him over Martinez! And Martinez has been great, so maybe Timber could be the same.
