Leeches find the biggest part of the body to suck the blood from. They dont go to the toe. At the end of it all, if they can get maximum, they'll take it. SJR is a nice alternative.
Ratcliffe is that person in netball that just tees the other player for the serve. Bridesmaid.

The Glazers seem to be doing everything they can and waiting as long as possible for Jassim to put in that "blow everyone out of the water" bid. They don't seem to be trying to bait Ineos at all. Which would suggest they think Jassim has the deeper pockets and also that they are perfectly willing to sell up completely.
My personal opinion is they're just using the ENEOS bid to yank the Qatari's chain and milk them for what it's worth. And in a worst case it blows up in their face, they still have the ENEOS bid which values their shares higher, albeit in instalments rather than up front.

It goes both ways, though. There's been times they've all suddenly been wallowing in self pity and I couldn't for the life of me figure out what had changed. Bi-polar hivemind.
The next tweet will almost certainly invoke such a response.

Other than the date? Not a lot, maybe swung towards Qatar bid a bit with news that the Glazers have asked PSG owner to get SJ to up his bid and that today isn't actually a real deadline

What a mad plot twist today...

Glazers go behind SJ's back to a superior in Al-Khelaifi to convince SJ to increase his bid which he's done.

Sounds like they do prefer selling to Qatar after all
Shock, horror, right. All the financial gurus out here explaining to us how Jimmy's offer for a couple pennies more in 5 years is so much better than the sell-and-forget money from Qatar.

Thank you for the info, and also for enduring this thread so I don't have to.

This is what I find infuriating about all the "reporting" over this. Some want to paint a picture where the Glazers don't take Jassim seriously and have been busy working out details with Radcliffe, and others are trying to paint the picture that they are just holding out for that magic number from Jassim. It's impossible to pick anything near the truth out of this mess as they simply haven't released any actual information.

In some way, shame that both Ineos and Qatari are in this deal. Ineos became perfect plan B for Glazers while Jassim is their plan A.
Now they have plan B done and using it to milk money from plan A.

And after Jassim made two "final" offers after deadline i bet that Glazers are thinking; "They will offer again"

Imagine Michael Scott is Nasser and the old man is Ratcliffe

That's really not what the Ornstein article says or even implies, but who else would read imaginary stuff into it if not you...is the English media suddenly something you trust? I thought they were clueless!

‘Be honest do you think Qatar have won?’
Honestly the pendulum just swung from 60/40 in SJR favour to 65/35 in SJ and Qatar favour, I think a 5th bid is more like an adjusted bid of probably £5.4/5.5bn now.

United becoming a vehicle for sportswashing, while the leeches probably get out of running us to the ground with an absurd truckload of money. Not going to lie, breaks my United heart in several different ways.

I know you guys really needed this but didn't think you'd go as low as simping for Nasser
Cheer up

You can still see how Jim does with Nice next season I'm sure they'll put up a massive fight for a top half finish. Might even sign Walcott and Welbeck this summer!

They released Barkley, plenty of wage budget available for a big swoop for Phil Jones now.

What

The Athletic article literally only states that at one point these last few months, the Glazers had contacted Al-Khelaifi to see if he can persuide Jassim into increasing his offer.

Guess what, his 5th bid is still lower than Ratcliffe's 3rd one from late April.

Mate give it 10 years and a lot of the clubs will be sportswashing playthings.

We've learned that this long drawn out process has been all about the Glazers squeezing every penny they possibly can out of Qatar

You’d forgive the INEOS posters for being a bit quiet at the moment.

A moment of silence for them

You really don't get it do you? The people who wanted INEOS did so because they don't want human rights abusing murderers owning United where everything we will do will be stained.

Enjoy the stench

Best news to me. Would be so happy if Qatar takes over and would be delighted if PSG owner is involved. Just shows they are pretty serious about this.

So to me now it seems clear that Qatar haven't been raising their bid by much each time as they probably think they are only bidding against themselves.

They probably don't consider Ratcliffe relevant if the Glazers are practically begging them to up their offer.
