How is leaving the offer on the table a sign he has walked away and out of the process
Why do you waste your time trying to reply to every post on here? 99% of them are regurgitating the same bs, while the other 1% primarily contains WUM like the poster you replied to. Tune in, get the required info, and leave this thread for your own sanity.

The Boy Jassim's Friday deadline has come and gone. He's left his offer on the table and walked away. There's no point in talking about him anymore, he's out of this process. I'm sure Qatar will be back in for another PL club at some point, one that is a lot cheaper and a more viable option for their sportwashing project.
Oh really? So you have decided that there is no point for posters in talking about him? Will you keep your fingers shut if he wins?

It wasn't walking away, it was just that there would be no more dialogue unless they decided to proceed with his bid. Given apparently he's had no contact to this stage anyway and this is the 3rd time that they've made a final offer I wouldn't say yesterday changes much, there's still a scope for Qatar to be the preferred bidder but it seems to be the less likely of the 2 options right now.

Hmmm choosing not to report that maybe
The press in general knows, the sport press in particular maybe doesn't and unfortunately they are the main source of reports in this situation. Otherwise while Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim and his kids are described as discreet, they are known, their businesses are known. Where they keep their money is a different story.

How sportswashing work
How Sports-washing works? You mean people who didn’t care about the politics of the Middle East still don’t care about the politics of the Middle East while enjoying their team winning?

It would be nice to be fan-owned or owned by the most benevolent of billionaires but at the end of the day our owners aren’t reflective of the fans or club itself.

Even Utd’s founders had money because of the sugar trade. They didn’t own slaves because it was too late for that but they likely benefited from the fruits of the slave trade, plantations in the Caribbean and in general British colonialism.

It just seems to me that either middle-eastern money is allowed into the UK or it isn’t. It’s not upto football to regulate these things or be some kind of moral authority. Football is probably the worst thing to use a morality check.

I think the deadline was for his engagement, basically saying "that's my offer if you like it, give me a call I won't call you to discuss this again"

How long should I check the thread for before closing it?

What percentage sure are you that this is definitely real reality?

What should I have for my tea tonight?

Are you really confident that I’ll enjoy it?

On a scale of 1-10, do you think that parody Ramano account is actually a smokescreen for a real ITK? If so why? And when?

And how?

And who the feck am I really!?

The press knows and he made his money with his father and his father made his money with the previous Emir who is/was his childhood friend on top of being cousins.
This is how I see it as well.

The key name in the process for the Jassim bid is the father (Hamad) who is said to be a extremely wealthy individual. And like you've mentioned, he made his money with the previous Emir who was a close family member whilst Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim was the prime minister and the foreign minister of the country. So the father has amassed huge wealth and that wealth is many multiples of what is stated online according to the financial times. Who went on to say that Hamad bin Jassim had become so powerful that the current ruling elite in Qatar were uneasy around him due to the wealth and influence he wielded.

And it's Hamad's son who wants to buy the club and the father definitely has the capital to buy Man Utd in a private capacity from what's been reported.

We need some thread-specific user tags. Some of the takes are so wide of the mark (and wild) but what makes it hilarious is how some of these people are so sure of themselves.

Just like that Nou Camp guy
People who are sure in themselves are the ones whos only "argument" is the moral side of the story. You can't debate with those kind of people.

That's pretty much it exactly. It isn't exclusive to middle-eastern politics, either, though obviously there's a boon in the region.

Sportswashing advocates do not care about the sugar-daddy until results go badly.

If results go correctly, which, thanks to the advanced financial position, they likely will (this is why people really support the Qatar state bid - they think, with some justification, it'll make United untouchable) then sportswashing supporters will argue left is right, up is down and black is white, all in the name of dear leader. The rest of your post is just classic whataboutery.

He’s gone missing in action. Quietest he’s been in the whole thread!
Pretty sure I had huge arguments with him over OGS (might be wrong, since I really don't seem to be able to remember usernames well) and he never acknowledged how off he was in his assesment.

It's one thing being off target but not admitting it, you're just doing a Boris Johnson.

Thank you for correcting me :)

I have read a great deal about a method to improve people and he is known to be exceptionally good at this method. I have also read specifically about him and how he wants a process to be. For my own part, I can say that he impresses me greatly.

In my opinion, I think it will be a bit easy to take Nice to judge whether he does a good job or not. We are all aware that not absolutely all projects are always 100% perfect. It is not possible to achieve.

I think Brailsford will fit in very well with Erik ten Hag. I base this on the fact that both are engrossed in details. Improve the little things to get better habits and improvement over time.
Load of nonsense.

In Britain you can remove the government via democracy.
In Britain they vote again for a war criminal like Tony fecking Blair after he invaded another country based on fecking lies, sending that country into the dark ages, starting civil wars lasted 15 fecking years causing the death, suffering and migration of millions of people.

How can the british "sleep at night" knowing when they went to the voting boxes to vote for a killer?

Eh.

If ineos win will the qataris head up the road and buy Liverpool? I bet nobody on here would like that
Liverpool owners don't want to sell so no. I keep seeing the "watch them go buy Liverpool" line, it's obviously a line to make themselves feel better and to make people who don't want Qatar to feel worse in an argument. Scousers value isn't far from ours and owners would need a bid so high which as we've seen with us Qatar ain't doing. They also have debt and need a new stadium.

This is the End, no more to lend, the End
This is the End, Jim’s our new friend, the End

Of new stadium plans - The End
Of fixing leaks in stands - The End
No more trophies for us - The End
We won’t be winning major prizes again

Can you picture what will be?
No leeches and debt free…
Desperately in need of Al Thani’s hand
In a Brexit land

Lost in a Glazer wilderness of pain
And all Malc’s children are insane
All Malc’s children are insane
Waiting for advice from Raine, yeah

There's Glazers on the edge of town
Riding Daddy’s coattails
Weird scenes inside the dressing room
Deep in the North West, baby

Bribe the Sheikh
Bribe the Sheikh
For the club
The ancient club, baby
The Sheikh is rich
Seven billion please
Bribe the Sheikh
He's real(ish)
How much can we steal…?

The North West is the best
The North West is the best
Bid here and we'll do the rest

The sky blue bus is taunting us
The sky blue bus is taunting us
Sir Jim, where are you taking us…?

The Sheikh awoke before dawn
He put his kaffiyeh on
He took a final bid from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where Avram lived
And then he paid a visit to Avram’s brother
And then he, he walked on down the hallway
And he came to a door
And he looked inside
"Ratcliffe?"
"Yes, Jassim?"
"I want to kill you"
"Darcie… I want to..."

Come on, yeah
Come on, Glazers, take a chance with us
Come on, Glazers, take a chance with us
Come on, Glazers, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the sky blue bus
Throw a big rock at the sky blue bus
Throw a big rock, c'mon yeah!

This is the end, no more to lend - the End
This is the end, Jim’s our new friend - The end
We like to get things for free
Cristiano unfollowed me

The end of trophies and big prize
The end of Sheikhs with close set eyes

This is the End
I can imagine Jim Morrison reading this in his bathtub and dying of a heart attack.

The talk when Liverpool were for sale a few months ago was Henry's valuation ($4bn) was not met.

Liverpool are definitely for sale at the right price, it'll just have to be an insane premium compared to the estimated enterprise value, just like the Glazers with United. It won't be $7bn like United though, it'll be lower.

Which is kind of the points Im saying, the value they had if it was for "investors" obviously was for more then that wasn't met. Forbes has them at 4.7bil. Henry would want an stupidly high increase on 4.7, which no one will meet even imo. Spuds on the other hand who knows they would be half the price with a new stadium.

Probably got the wrong take on this , but here goes. The Ineos bid is looking increasingly problematical as they’ve still not accepted it, and now there are threats of legal action if they do. Their approach to Nasser Al-Khelaifi reeks of desperation, but it does suggest to me that they want a full sale. However their target price of £6Bn is way beyond any sensible valuation of the club, mainly due to the Glazer’s incompetence that now leaves the club needing a massive investment in infrastructure. Outcome - the Glazer’s walk away with tails between their legs, or - they name SJ as preferred bidder so they can get round the table and try to negotiate for more. I think that’s what they might eventually have to do.

Is this the same person who was championing the Saudis buying us? Surely this must be a different person? I'm very confused, mate..
The weird thing about this is that tbf to @Nou_Camp99 this shows his motifs aren’t anti-Islamic as he’s been accused of.

It seems he maybe isn’t aware of the actions of Saudi… but is somehow very aware of Qatar’s.

Which is really difficult to believe.

It’s entirely also possible he’s changed his mind, or learned more about it and decided he’s against the idea, if the posts are from years ago - if so, he should just explain that.
