Worth 1.3b, but is bidding 6b? I wasnt really talking about Ratcliffe has he cant even match Qatars bid.
I meant Between Qatar Saudi and Abu Dhabi.
He has outbid the Qataris at every stage of the process. Not withstanding some after-hours trading this evening, Ineos are, according to The Times, confident of winning.

Great spot. But he sure puts a lot of effort Into the account for very few likes and followers. Weird
It’s very weird

He started in Arabic years ago….looks like he moved to the states around 3 years ago and is now back in Qatar

Hes followed by legit Qatar people but yeah it’s all very weird his tweets aren’t click bait or anything

Hes not worth 1.3bn reports of Qatari net worth in things like Forbes are not accurate. Also 92 foundation is a consortium (and likely state funded)

I gave two examples, that doesn't mean he's only been right on two instances. You clearly don't want much of his content, which is understandable, but don't feel you can comment if you don't. There's no way you watch much of his content and come to this conclusion.

I don't think he has a clue on acquisitions either, what I'm saying is that it isn't impossible that he's talking to people that are getting some decent info.
I listen to him, Paddock and DR among others.
He says 100 things and only 2 are right. Hes an absolute feck wit and anyone listening to him for anything more than a time pass and actually believe his nonsense need to give their head a wobble.

He knows feck all 95% of the time and he knows feck all about this. Hes just punting off the back of the twitter news.

And for months Jim has been confident and reportedly leading with the higher bids….

I always thought if the bid from Jim was that good and if the Hills Have Eyes wanted to stay on they would have progressed months back. Looking at the deal now it looks like they always wanted that oil money and Jim was the pawn they needed.

Id be absolutely amazed if Jim wins this bid.

Isn't 92 foundation set up to run the club but not buy it? If not, then shouldn't we know by now who is in the 92 foundation?
Not sure about the technicality of who the investors are vs who the 92 foundation are but there's a consortium of investors, not just one guy.

The generous interpretation is that the investors are random rich Qataris and have no connection to the state. But how many billionaires in Qatar have no connection to the state?

This account is total bollocks. Only recently started pretending to be Qatari at all. Before that he was doing nothing but retweeting Trump and posting MAGA bullshit.

Couldnt even bother to delete his older tweets

My best guess would be that he's a grifter running some "Qatari entrepreneur" version of the old Nigerian Prince scams, using the twitter account to boost credibility for his marks.

Hence the dozens of pictures with "him" shaking hands with "ambassadors" etc.

We agree that he's an idiot. And fair enough if you've seen his stuff regularly and still think he doesn't get decent info.

I think as far as his opinions go, couldn't care for many of them and he regularly contradicts himself. But I do think he gets decent info when it comes to news yet to be released (I'm not on about when he mentions it's just his opinion btw). I mostly stick it on if there's nothing else interesting on my YT feed.

Who do you think if any of the guys you mentioned get decent info? Don't watch the others.

I'm dubious. I've just had a read and there's nothing ever mentioned since his initial statement. It says the foundation will be set up by him. Unsurprisingly, as with everything Qatar/Jassim it is very unclear on what this will entail. I would have thought we'd have more details if these investors are part of the bidding process, given the due diligence required etc.

I refuse to get too caught up in all this, but i really hope that something is happening this time and it's not just a dodgy bowel movement like Gerard Romero is prone too!
Jeez he was such a pain in the De Jong saga

Not true. SJR was initially behind until they revised the bid to be for less shares
That's incorrect, as per The Times and The Telegraph in late April, which reported that the Ineos bids had been at a higher value at each stage of the process. Ineos presumably pivoted to the more flexible structure with a continuing interest for the Glazer family in anticipation of a Knockout financial bid from the Qataris in round 3 (the "final" round - 28th April) - that Knockout bid never came, which, together with their ongoing dialogue with Raine, is why they are confident of winning. We will see, hopefully soon.

Not after the first round
So just 2/3 rounds of bidding he was able to beat the Qatar bid. Let's face it, INEOS could probably buy United many times over if they wanted. Look on Google and they're involved with multi billion pounds deals all over. To say he's not able to match their bid is clearly not true. Not willing, maybe. But his current bid is competitive so he's no need to offer more anyway unless it looks like Jassim is going to win and he decides he is willing to offer more.

My nightmare is that at the end of all these shenanigans, it comes out that Jassim is actually Piers Morgan reliving his fake sheikh tabloid days.
The horror, the horror.

Considering their bids are backed up by bank loans and the company already has significant debt, I’d say there are real limits to what they can bid

The Glazers have quite sensibly not wanted to close the door on a nation state, for obvious reasons. Raine have, according to The Athletic and FT, been in talks with Ineos about putting the building blocks of the takeover in place, since round 3. If Qatar have come in late with a bigger offer, nobody will be more happy than the Glazers, but thus far, nobody reliable has reported that Qatar are ahead following their bid last week.

All these reports coming from Qatar, something got leaked. The sooner these leeches pack their bags the better. Bring on Mbappe.

A lot of successful businesses operate with debt. It's completely normal.
Who said otherwise?
Debt you can assume has a limit without raising capital via asset liquidations

A few Qatar reports coming out that its a done deal

Nothing from uk journalists but there’s a lot of noise from Twitter and there’s been some movement in stocks
Wouldn't mind betting many of the UK journos along with BBC and Sky are probably having all nighters to get info from Qatar sources

Could be he's lived in America long enough to support one party over the other. And given how "socially conservative" Qataris are, it isn't surprising that he'd support Trump.

If Qatar lost they would have had to go through a lot of hassle to buy Spurs. Sir Jim already has his Chelsea seat booked for next season so it's a win all around
So IF Jassim has won (needs UK noise later today) then I wonder which club will Ratcliffe try and buy next

What a statement of intent that would be if we were to be sold to the Qatari's and they go all in on Mbappe. That's if he fits the style Ten Hag wants to play.

The man had Rashford scoring 30 goals the season after he was in line to play centre cleaner for United and people are discussing whether EtH would take Mbappe.

EtH is just as much of a muppet as we are but gets to actually pick the squad.
