Qatar collision.
Eni Aluko will have something to say about this...obviously EtH has been on the phone to PSG to hurry this deal along *wink winkTweet

Because this is tactic from Qatar and they have already bought us behind the scenes. They are submitting a bid which they know won't be accepted and know that Man United offer is higher by 10m that's not small amount but PSG give public statement that their valuation for Hojlund is unrealistic and believe that 50m euros is fair, otherwise they will walk away. So Atalanta won't have a chance for a bidding war and will have to compromise on the fee and accept our offer.Let me understand this…he prefers us and we are offering substantially more than PSG…why are PSG even wasting the time to type out an email? Odd…
Agreed but we're in a more desperate spot unfortunately, Atalanta know we'll cough up more than anyone else in it comes down to itPSG are more accurate in their valuation than United.
Very strange.Tweet

Was my initial thought tooI’m glad PSG have bid lower, shows Atalanta that our offer is more than fair and to accept it before we withdraw the bid and move onto other targets.
He made us feel like we were the only one for him, and then he goes and cheats on usTweet

No it isn't, we didn't even bid for him. That was all rumour.Kim Min Jae vibes![]()
WeghorstIf they snag Hojlund who do we go for..?
Yet City allegedly do it all the time too, Sanchez, Rice, Maguire. Coincidence it’s the state owned clubs doing things that make zero sense?A bit weird imo. The player reportedly would prefer us. Doesn't make sense if PSG bid lower.
The Ol' UnreliableWeghorst
In all seriousness I’m not sure who else we could buy if we don’t land him, might force the club to get more money and try for Kane and forget about AmrabatThe Ol' Unreliable
Kolo Muani is our back up option by all accountsIn all seriousness I’m not sure who else we could buy if we don’t land him, might force the club to get more money and try for Kane and forget about Amrabat

Yep, although my belief in that happening has massively dwindled. One new striker addition is simply not enough. We ought to be getting someone else in after.
Money changes everything. That bid only makes sense if the player prefers PSG.... which by all accounts he doesn't. In short, that's a we tried without really trying, bid.
