I like the look of him, I don't think it was a penalty either, seems VAR agreed. It's nice to have a physical presence from our keeper for the first time in years.

On the one hand that should be a penalty, but on the other I've seen them not given a thousand times. Outside of that incident, it was a good performance.
Yeah it's the kind of thing that should really be a penalty but you rarely see a keeper punished for it.

He's going to do some really exciting things this year and cost us games with absolute howlers. Ten Hag has clearly signed up for that so hopefully it works out more good than bad

Same thing as De Gea's situation. Due to the lack of physical preparation of the team, not to mention organisation, he'll be under huge pressure.

His mentality is lovely. Premier League won't break him, but his team needs to stop f*ckin around.

Got away with that stonewall penalty in the end but man is it refreshing to see a keeper with abit of balls on him.

Disappointed for him that his plan to give Wolves a penalty, so he could save it in the final minute of the game, didn't work out.

Solid game aside from the potential penalty at the end. He'll concede us goals at times, but he'll also make some.

24/36 passes (67%)
4/15 long balls (27%)

Thought he was good at this.

Thought he did very well apart from that one incident in the end. Wolves was all over us for long periods where they had the ball and time inside our penalty box. Thoroughly expected us to concede as the match went on, but Onana was a big part of preventing that alongside some very good blocks from the defenders close to the goal.

Do people know the fecking rules? The Wolves player had already headed the ball when Onana made contact, hence cannot be a penalty in a million years.
Which makes no sense really? Players play the ball all the time and get clattered or followed through and a foul is given.

Absolutely this.

The Wolves player already headed the ball away from the goal and the danger was already gone. After that Onana clattered into him.

To be honest, that was a bad judgement from Onana, when the cross came into the penalty area and Onana decided to go for it, I was like: there's no way he would catch that.

Best played on the pitch. Says it all when your keeper did the most

Unless it’s a shot? Seen it a million times where they are brought down after shooting and nothing is given. Was probs a pen but have seen these calls plenty of times before.

While I think it’s a pen and more of these should be given, Antony chipped the keeper the other end and was taken out afterwards, no review or anything.

Unless the players actually move, im not sure what he’s supposed to do.
He sent a long ball like an arrow directly towards McT when he had just come on, and even though McT had a good few inches on the guy marking him he got nowhere near the ball.

Same with us in transition - we're too slow to make use of his passes today. The pitch was wet as hell though so imagine that caused a few issues.

Dreadful for what should have been a penalty. Fine otherwise and took some crosses at the end which was refreshing.

Expected a bit more from his kicking though I have to say.

Ahum, I'm not sure that's the rule though. You foul a player, it's a foul. Otherwise you could just shove players left and right as long as the ball isn't in close proximity. Makes no sense whatsoever.
