Even at his worst and most unfit he is still a far better option than Rashford, Sancho or Wouty up front. That for me has never been in doubt. It's just actually seeing him on the pitch which is the issue.

Sancho could of put him through and Pellestri aswell. Bruno not playing the give and go with him aswell so many players lacking in their decision making in this team.

Hopefully he will start upfront in the next game. Rashford was very poor as the focal point and it would be better if he started on the left. We badly required someone to hold the ball upfront today and retain possession but that didn't happen. And the pressing from Rashford was also not good enough from a central area. We lost the game in the second half.

Probably not but he’s got 20 minutes to try and change something and he barely fecking moves.
Cannot wait to see the back of him.
Waste of rations
Try to change something well he did try but his teammates didn’t even try to pass him when they should of. Trying to pass him was more of the right thing to do than the things they did instead of it.

I mean he came on, instantly got the ball back to goal laid it off creating an attack and twice moved in to great positions for easy through balls that never came. Did more for the team in that 2 minute than the guys who played the first half combined.

Surely if he can do even 60 mins you start him next game. He is not the long term solution but for right now he is probably the best option we have.

You have to and Rashford on the left and Sancho on the right, right now that’s our best front three in those positions of all are fit.

We also need to go back to a 4231 with Either Ericsen or Mctominay sitting next to Casemiro.

Until Hojlund is ready, simply has to be either him or Sancho up top. He's not ready yet either of course but if he can start the next game or vs Arsenal, he's gotta be in. If only because it puts Rashford in his right position and gives us more control.

Agreed.
He has to be our go to striker until Hojlund gets back. Rashford has to play left as he's effective in that position only.

Should have started him yesterday. While he is made of glass he makes the front line play with a lot more fluidity - if he can last until RH gets fit then we should have a much better fit.

Should be ready to start the next game, been on bench for the last 2. Got a little run out yesterday. Put him in the middle with Rashford and Sancho either side.

You do realise these players do that, though? They come on as a sub and do some good things but they go to pot when they start a game.

Happens all the time. Martial will be rubbish if he starts the next game; it is just normal procedure.

When you need him most he is never there. Not just now - the last few seasons too. He had the entire summer to get fit.

I'm no Martial fan these days but if we sell him and Greenwood isn't coming back then we have to sign two more strikers/attackers

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

The likes of Garnacho and Sancho regularly do that. I don't remember Martial having history for it. Not to say he never does it, but no more often than simply looking good whether he's starting or off the bench.

One thing with Martial no matter the form you can guarante he’s breaking some lines with his passing.

His rubbish at center forward is waaay better than Rashfords. And it moves Marcus to were he wants to play anyway.

Moving Rashford up front despite Martial being fit means that the manager doesn’t trust Martial. At this stage, I think it would be best if he moves on. Unfortunately, it won’t happen this summer though

He’s not fully fit and only just returned to training not that long ago.Probably also don’t want to risk injury by rushing him back which they might have to do anyway.

Susegaad!
I prefer him over Antony.

Martial uptop with Rashford and Sancho will be better than the dross from second half at spurs.

I didn't know that's how injuries work. You could pick when you got fit.

I really hope he leaves the club as he's been here for so long and is now depressing us all.

But to be honest, I see him as a bench warmer until January and then he will leave.

I reckon your opinions on football would be in total agreement with a dog like a golden retriever.
