He'll be gone soon. The media is all over him. Tim Sherwood saying just now that he doesnt feel anyone's really improved under him. Saying he shouldve dealt with the Ronaldo thing better.

Before anyone says about Rashford's improvement last year, he was merely playing for his new contract.

This is entering crisis territory. Three points is needed from him here, but it's not looking good.

He didn’t solve our biggest problem in the summer (goals and a proper 9 to score them). That will plague us all year and will probably see us struggle for another top 4 finish.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...

He bought Hojlund who’s a proper 9.

I think he’ll turn this particular corner personally and grab a few results - though I still don’t think he’s ‘the one’.

I wonder if he had been given assurances throughout the summer by Arnold that Greenwood would be back in the squad, only for that rug to be pulled in the end once the window was closing.

Proper as in reliable to get us 25-30 goals. Hojlund strikes me a development project who ordinarily would be brought along slowly behind an established world class striker.

Erik is having to fix problems caused at the club over the last decade by poor senior management and poor previous managers.

Ronaldo.
Greenwood.
Maguire.
Sancho.
Club sale drama.
Late signings from our board, eg Amrabat 4 games in (which has impacted every manager we've had).

He wants to focus on training us to win but he's having clean up shite from all over the place.

Pretty sure he was, given that he himself appears to have wanted him back and was probably factoring his availability into his transfer strategy.

It's worrying how long it takes him to change things. Often lengthy periods of play where you're just waiting for a second goal to force some urgency.

On the other hand, he bought Mount, which doesn’t solve our most urgent problem so there is some degree of responsibility on his part.

Still feel he’s the right man for us, but he’s definitely been off his game recently.

You conveniently left out Antony. I wonder why.

Pep Guardiola is my idol.

Being taught a lesson by the other coach who has had the same (slightly less even) time as him but has managed to get his team playing good football regularly.

We as a club are cursed honestly. That wasn't a bad performance by any means but their first chance they score.

Another game changing decision down to a matter of inches.

Sometimes luck isn't with you
It’s the football in between that is more the problem. We cane at them with nothing more than passion. Sadly we are all passion but no pattern.

Yeah my first thought. We are cursed. They've did nothing of note, we had chances, then they score.

Pointless playing Hojlund with someone as greedy and unable to pass to his teammates as Rashford.

We can have prime R9 upfront but no one will pass to him, especially Mr Superhero.

Antony is EtH's own problem and he can't complain about it. But he can rightfully say that all the other things mentioned in that post make his work difficult.

I don't like how he uses his strikers, no wonder WW scored 0 and top scorer of this game wanted to leave.

United minus the Glazers
ETH’s slow reaction to adapting to the flow of the game will lead to Bayern decimating us. We’ll “look good” in the first 10 mins only to let in 4 goals or more

Rashford did pass to him and he miscontrolled it and would have had the assist for him if it wasn't just out. Blaming Rashford when he is basically our only attacking threat is daft, there are so many issues with this team to fix before Marcus Rashford becomes a concern.

I am not confident about this season.
But I am more afraid about the next one. Should we insist with EtH if we do not get top 4, trophy of any nature and clear improvements of football style?
Or should we reset once again?
Had no doubts with the first one till June, but after 3 months I find myself pretty cold towards his future

Hojlund isn’t exactly peak RvN so our 30 goal wide player probably feels he can make make a contribution to offset things.

We lacked a bit of luck in the first half and could have been 1 or 2 up, but still we need to find a way to overcome situations like this.

Really hope this man gets points, I hope he isn't getting the sack cause lets be honest, we're missing out on CL next year if things continue (with rivals getting points). I just don't think I have the patience for another fecking manager and their inevitable failure

No but if he's incapable of winning away from home and on top of that starts dropping points at home, what's even the point of him?
and you've gathered that from 4.5 games or also including the season where he took a team who it was suggested to finish 5th/6th to 3rd and cup? Just trying to gauge your metrics here.

They have controlled much of that game, and there is a difference between the chances we had and the one they scored. Beautifully constructed from back to front, leaving the striker open in the centre of the goal.

We are just charging and roaring, Brighton make the ball do the running for them, our players seem to have to carry it or our passes are longer than theirs to make progress.

Bit weird to pin all the blame on previous management when this manager has skeletons of his own.
