We always have this pattern under the Glazers. We get a new manager in. Win the top 4 cup. Our fans get giddy and start talking about the possibility of a league title. The Glazers get erections because CL money pouring in for one season. We then start said new season like a snail, drawing and losing a load of matches. The online fanbase then call for manager and Rashford to be sacked. Rinse, repeat. It’s like fecking Groundhog Day at Utd.
I would love owners who had a vision and a strategy. Our club is a mish mash of random people with different ideas. We still let every manager sign who who wants and have too much power without a modern structure above him.
Everything needs tearing up and when Qatar inevitably buy us, we need to start again with a new stadium, new facilities and an actual plan.

Theoretically, if they are staying, there's never been a worse time to announce it.
With more leaks supposedly coming and no signs of things improving on the pitch (mainly down to a ridiculous amount of injuries), surely the backlash will only get worse each passing week.

I agree with everything you said, but why are you sure that Qatar will buy us? Where does that conclusion come from?

I always knew Bloomberg were on top of it, they don’t report rubbish and this more a business issue than a sports issue hence the sports journalists are way off the mark.

Imagine a United with the following:
1) a season with no player (s) with pending rape and abuse allegations
2) a active player list that is longer than our injury list
3) players not holding us to ransom (looking at you Harry!)
4) a transfer window that is actually completed before the deadline so that we dont have to wait weeks or months for our signings to show up and play
5) fecking owners that dont suck the life out of the stadium and fans
6) plans for a stadium rebuild or some much needed repairs
ETH has had to deal with so much extra bullshit... Ronaldo, Sancho, Harry and his non playing ass, Lindgard and his bullshit, Greenwood and Antony.... its enough to drive any manager crazy!

It feels longer than it is because we told the 'first quater', whether that was ever the logical meaning of the term, as in the end of March, or the end of May or even June as some would endlessly argue about, is all pretty irrelevent now.

In fairness, a Qatari state bid will be like this:
1) Qatari state approved sponsorship on everything, from the jerseys to the stadium's name after they rebuild it.
2) Marquee signings of famous names, even if the manager does not want them. This will have more to do with Point 1 than anything else.
3) Ex-players given executive roles with which they have little real authority past telling the MEN how great Jassim and Qatar is. The real executive decisions will be taken by Qatar's approved circle.
4) United to make greater signals towards LGBTQ/ending violence against women/social causes. This is not for any benevolent reason. It is to disingenuously claim Qatar is somehow 'tolerant' of other beliefs, when the reality is, of course, completely different. Ex-players will be crucial in promoting this 'message'.
5) A world-class training facility and improved academy. Of course, 99 percent of graduates will play once or twice for United, but be sold for top dollar, just like at city to balance out FFP.
6) The gentrification of working areas in the city, with the implementation of unaffordable high-rise buildings. The UAE may kick off about this, mind.
7) Pro-Qatar commentators becoming aggressive about anyone pointing out the various human rights abuses of Qatar's dictatorship. Expect the like of Gary Neville to field these.
That's it really. The club can't really dominate like it used to die to the intense funding of other clubs, so we'll win slightly more trophies to hoist in the BeIn Sports Bowl.
Meanwhile, the Glazers will pocket billions for sweet FA. Woodward 14 million.
