What a terribly short memory.
Not saying this isn't shite, but the Ole ball at its worst was the worst I've ever seen in my life.
Ole ball at its worst was eerily similar to that utter shower we have just witnessed. We are worse now than at any point under Ole.

So many problems with his time here I don't know where to start.

Only reason he is still here is because the club decided they are sick of firing managers

We lost today but have improved greatly under this amazing manager, or something.

Lets be honest, every single one of our managers post Fergie has had spells of absolutely tumescent football for prolonged periods, and we have also been slow to act on that on every single occasion too. We have also yet to actually dig out of one of these ruts under anyone, so why we are persisting with things when there is no observable progress is beyond me. The only consistent trend has been we progressively get worse under every manager the longer they are here.

Anyone still defending this guy is clueless, he’s the biggest of frauds.

We were unfair to Ole, this clown is actually worse.
We were not unfair to Ole, but I don't totally disagree with you on ETH

Ole had the right idea for how we wanted to play but didn't have the authority to control and lost the dressing room, ETH I just don;t know what his m-o is

It's unfortunate that he will get the ax....I like him but his decision making will cost him in the end as it usually does being a manager, yet dross like Rashford, Bruno, McT, Maguire etc get away with the shower of shite they display match after match on big paydays week in week out. If he does get the sack we must get a manager with bollocks who will not stand for subpar play.

I just don't know what to do with myself
Even if they were, he has managed to assemble a bunch of poor players with poor mentality, they were never good enough to compete and his inept tactics and lack of direction has shown through.
I agree. But you dont need special skills for passion and efforts. Apart from quality of the players, we're so easily outfought almost every match.

-5 goal difference

I’ve been a big supporter of Ten Hag but this really is not good and if we hadn’t scraped 3 1-0 wins it’d be worse

Don't need a thousand words to know he's cooked.

His team selections are as bad as the football we play.

City were always going to win this, but he made it a procession.

No idea what the club do now, or if they're sounding out replacements, but ten's not the one.

Doesnt even matter how good he is tactically or in terms of discipline and man management.

He's done here. Finished.

This is a slide that he wont be able to fix. No one does when it gets to this point.

I think the fact that my first thought was relief that "it was only 3" summed up the state of this shite.

All the talks of style of play, philosophy and coaching are taking it too far. He can’t even seem to pick 11 best players from whatever squad is available.

The reasons that I will sack Erik is mainly transfer decisions and stubbornness. He set us back almost 400 million by benefiting his old club, agent and players. He insistence of playing Rashford, Bruno, McTominay and Lindeloft is amazing.

I don't expect anything to improve when he's sacked, but there's no defending him at this point. Shite signings, shite tactics, shite team selection. Gone by Christmas I reckon.

Honestly if we drop EtH before any changes are made at the top of the club and continued lack of investment in facilities I'm not sure why anyone can for one sec think it will get better after what ...5 managers?

This reminds me of a 2-0 loss against City at home where we literally played the exact same way. ETH ain’t the guy that we hoped for
Hell no, today we actually had a few decent chances. That 2-0 was worse than the 7-0. We didn't even bother running
Ole ball at its worst was eerily similar to that utter shower we have just witnessed. We are worse now than at any point under Ole.
Except it wasn't. Ole ball at its worst had us being thumped 4-0 to a relegated Watford side, before we talk about how we fare against City.

Dead man walking and Grade A snake oil salesman. He better make the round of 16 in the CL or he could be gone before January.
The "strategic review" is saving his bacon at the moment.

A club with clear ambition and direction, he'd be gone or under far more pressure already.

I'm undecided myself but it is damning almost every single one of his signings isn't good enough (bar Rasmus), an that after 15 months in charge we have no style of play or athleticism

No we weren't. He should have been sacked long before it happened.
I agree Ole was rightfully canned but the negativity towards him made it seem like he was doing the worst possible job. Ten Hag has shown it’s actually possible to be worse than Ole.

I'm starting to turn now. That's the way that City despatch of lower midtable teams, just an even no-stress, inevitable march to victory. Sick of Rashford and Bruno and he has made them his untouchables.

The time we thought he'd definitely nailed it has long gone hasn't it.
Recruitment looks woeful all of a sudden.

The best football we've played since Sir Alex was under Ole, and nothing I've watched in the last year or so will convince me otherwise.
One penalty's difference in the Europa League final is all that separates ETH and him. And I'd take Ole's football over this awful, joyless nonsense any day of the week.

You might be right but this doesn’t feel a lot better. Same old shit with no progress being made. You still believe in ETH?

Yet again, he set the team up well and they looked good for the first 15-20 minutes, and then fell apart. I honestly don't know whether to take that in an optimistic or pessimistic direction, but that's the reality of the way we have played this year. Credit him for setting us up well, or criticise for his total inability to react and adjust to the flow of a game?

The transfer policy/signings aspect of his reign are absolutely unforgiveable.

Tbf would probably get better in the short term. You’re right about the long term though.

This season is worse than anything under LVG or Ole. It's reaching Rangnick levels and I think that's somehow still being kind to ETH, considering he's had a year to coach these players and didn't come in mid-season. He also had 400m.

If we have any sense, Nagelsmann. But more than that, Murtough and Fletcher need to earn their pay or feck off too. Players like Rashford, Bruno Mctominay, Lindelof, Dalot, Martial don't deserve a clean slate
Completely agree. Keep rewarding mediocrity and you'll keep seeing the mediocre.

Clubs change managers when it's not working, yes. Sticking with a manager that evidently is not up to it because "we have changed managers before" makes no sense.
