I can dig that!So JCB will be the new CEO?

Thanks for the brief. Sounds like a promising hire then.Blanc revitalized Juve, and as I understand it, was overseeing PSG more recently when they were starting to move away from the Parisian-Galatico model and towards more balance in recruitment, amongst other things. If anything, he's more of a sure fit - in terms of ensuring the machine starts working in unison and corporate side fits with drive towards footballing competency - than Mitchell is for the SD side of things....
To dig us out of a hole?So JCB will be the new CEO?
Mitchell is also a Utd fan who has always fairly obviously wanted the job. He's the obvious appointment, although that doesn't necessarily mean he's the right one. He seemed to be more successful as Head of Recruitment at his previous jobs rather than when he stepped up to the next level as Sporting Director at Monaco.Scoop?
It is an educated guess. Blanc is working for INEOS Sports and a former CEO of Juve and PSG.
Mitchell is not currently working and moved back to Cheshire.
Just putting 2+2 together really.
Muppiteers guy said INEOS Sports met with Joel Glazer last week. Strange how no other outlet picked up on this.
I mean recruitment is clearly an achilles heel for us. We can give him the title of 'Chief Muppet' for all I care, point is we desperately need someone of his experience and expertise in identifying and signing talents.Mitchell is also a Utd fan who has always fairly obviously wanted the job. Hopefully he can still lend his knowledge to the new recruitment team and possibly appoint people he knows can do it.Mitchell is also a Utd fan who has always fairly obviously wanted the job. I trust you Judas.Never make an ITK post, but Ratcliffe's upcoming ownership is quite the talk at Mercedes F1 team. Toto Wolff very likely to be getting involved too apparently. Source is someone who literally couldn't be further away from a typical ITK either. Might all be quite obvious, but its very much being spoken about as a done deal in those circles. So as much as the media are probably making stuff up, this is all very much underway seemingly.
Again it's hardly ITK stuff seeing as it's all reported by the BBC (the most trusted of sources IMO) last weekNever make an ITK post, but Ratcliffe's upcoming ownership is quite the talk at Mercedes F1 team. Though on the other hand, the biggest class A shareholder says:Never make an ITK post, but Ratcliffe's upcoming ownership is quite the talk at Mercedes F1 team. Toto has been talking about the takeover a lot recently. I would be surprised if he doesn't get involved at some point.Never make an ITK post, but Ratcliffe's upcoming ownership is quite the talk at Mercedes F1 team. Would that be a good thing or a bad thing?Toto has been talking about the takeover a lot recently. I would be surprised if he doesn't get involved at some point.

Chelsea seem to be doing OK in terms of finding young players to invest in: maybe start looking outside of the European market or established more informal mutual beneficial relationships with clubs in Belgium/Holland/Central Europe. It's perennially excuses with this club (... much like the Tory strand of Brexiteers, but that's another discussion)Tweet

He didn't just vote for it, he lobbied for it, and then decided to abandon England for Monaco shortly after BREXIT went through !Somebody is gonna say, "Well, you voted for it" in 3...2...1

This kind of thing is just common sense. Hopefully we can start doing deals for more garnachos and pogbas and give them competitive football instead of youth football. We would be much more inclined to get the next stars if we can give them pro football from the off and a genuine pathway into the first team.Tweet

Be nice for boot to be on other footI also wonder if Mitchell has done a Peter Kenyon and brought a lovely list of other people's targets with him?
Yeah not doing that definitely cost us Bellingham, harder to say whether that was the case with Haaland too thoughThis kind of thing is just common sense. The current under 18’s squad looks full of talent and Fletchers boys both look potential first team players. His job is safe Murtourgh and Arnold will be gone. Why do people think Fletcher's gig is at risk? Isn't his role to identify youth players to promote? Not his fault the academy has been failing in recent years.
Do you honestly think that the Glazers will get rid of their guy -- the guy who is responsible for bringing in the two record sponsorship deals; with as much institutional knowledge and network with the key commercial potential/partners globally? The current under 18’s squad looks full of talent and Fletchers boys both look potential first team players. Highly doubt that.Arnold will stay.
Hes actually a city fan. Not that it matters anyway.Mitchell is also a Utd fan who has always fairly obviously wanted the job. So you think glazers will give up complete operational control of the entire club for a 25% minority shareholder?Highly doubt that.
I think they will give up footballing control. If that means creating a role for Arnold in a non-footballing capacity, then fair enough. So you think glazers will give up complete operational control of the entire club for a 25% minority shareholder?
With zero visibility into their £6-10billion valued franchise? Right...
Would you do it if you were the Glazers?
The Glazers will have Arnold as the man in charge of the most important thing -- money.I think they will give up footballing control. If that means creating a role for Arnold in a non-footballing capacity, then fair enough.
