Goal for the ages but he still has a lot of work to do before he can be called world class, I think some need to stop themselves from getting carried away.

Thanks for that moment. I think I have not been that emotional about a goal since Rashford converted the pen in Paris.

I thought last season’s FA Cup final was his best peformance. He consistently took players on and beat them…hope he can continue and kick on from last year’s performances. So far very inconsistent

Hes young, he has a lot of talent. The whole team is underperforming, especially in attack, he is unlikely to shine in that setting at his development stage

This. He still has a lot to learn about the game.
I mean of course he has a lot to learn about the game. He’s a teenager!

Just enjoy the talent.

It’s an exciting time for United academy football at the moment.

Ganarcho gave some similar shoes (same brand but kid size) which he wore to score the wondergoal to a young fan as a birthday gift. Seems like a really nice dude. But why he's driving a Citroen? He's just signed a new contract I think?

Minus the goal, how did he play?

I honestly couldn't give an unbiased assessment on his rating due to the level of goal he scored.

Still a bit inconsistent going forward, which you expect from a player this age, the defensive side of his game is vastly improved from what it was - he's getting there

I do like how his defensive play has become important to him in recent games.

Even on his previous wage he could have gone for a better car had he wanted.

Also why is he carrying around random pairs of kids boots.

Based on what I read he often interact and talk with the kids/fans there so he knew that day was the kid's birthday. Or it could be staged but I'd doubt so because if so imo he would have got out of the car.

Did he really need to get subbed?

If he'd have had the ball in the positions Pellistri had I'm sure he'd have made better decisions and we'd have scored.

Feels like managers make changes just for the sake of it sometimes.

Manager loves Anthony, subbing Garnacho was stupid, he was our best attacking threat.

i feel like antony gets subbed quite a bit though. Garnacho does generally get subbed almost every time he is out there i swear. Hope to see garnacho and antony start this weekend, no reason to drop either for rashford. Would send the wrong message for sure. Still think it happens though unfortunately.

He was our best outlet and I would put my wages on him getting at least one of those Pellestri chances on target.

Very, very well taken goal today. He’s getting sort of consistency in performances, and on merit he simply shouldn’t be benched by Rashford now.

He was knackered and we need him for the game against Newcastle.

We moan about our injury problems, perhaps it's best not to run our most inform player, who's only 19, into the ground?

Good finish for his goal and created early chance for Hojlund that was blocked. Poor defensively, too often gave their right-back a slight advantage by not retreating enough, then couldn't recover in time to stop a cross coming in. Several occasions when he was either too exhausted or not fast enough to take advantage of a promising situation.

Overall, I think he's been underwhelming so far this season. 1 goal in PL, 1 in CL and 1 in EFL Cup. 0 assists. 855 mins in total.

I'm hopeful he'll be a really good player next season.

Absolutely he’s making that LW his own. So now ETH has a big decision to make for the RW… it’s either the un droppable Rashford or his golden boy Antony.

Was clearly very tired and had already been in a similar position to Pellistri himself and missed, so no guarantee he does any better at that point in the game, maybe doesn’t even get into those positions because of the tiredness.

Fantastic goal. Still raw and inconsistent with his decision making but we would be talking about another clutch moment if it wasn't for Onana.

Shame.

Maybe the only real positive at the moment when it comes to our football club. I loved how he bantered the home crowd after the goal.

There is hope him and Hojlund will become top players and put back some fear into our opponents.

He’s a sensational talent, a young kid learning, yet he has the ability to change a game in any moment. Some strange views in this thread but then I’ve always found that generally speaking United fans tend to favour an O’Shea to a flamboyant player.

He looked absolutely finished at the end - when jogging off the pitch, he gasped for air.

He was good yesterday and is a threat when he has space.

Deserves to start on the left rather than Rashford.

Still has not the stamina or the experience to manage 90 minutes, and we're short of option upfront, but hopefully after a poor start of season, he'll come good

He's one of our very few fun players to watch. Not sure who to compare him with, but he's certainly no Giggs in the way he plays: I miss that kind of winger - so direct, so incredibly quick, agile - could basically take on a defense on his own at his best.

Anyone else thinking who Garnacho could remind you of that were a top class or world class winger?
