Ah I see we have reached the "tell the fans what they want to hear" stage of the takeover process.

Interspersed with some vague financial talk about "complexity" and "future focus" and woosh....the tricky christmas / january transfer window period can be covered off by the parasites once again!

Mitten said it was the non-execs holding up the takeover with their review of the details of the deal. Also said there's no plans for INEOS to do anything in January even if they came in today.

This is a reason I've lost interest again

Whether they come in now or in February, I don't see it making much difference with what happens between now and the Summer. They'll just be moving personnel about behind the scenes. And they'll already know who they want in which roles. I think Ten Hag stays until the Summer regardless too.

But hopefully in the summer they show their intent and ambition. Not necessarily by getting the biggest name in, but just some sensible transfers for once would be nice.

If you are an executive in the game, I imagine your mouth would be watering at the prospect of having "returned Man United to their former glory" on your CV. That's like proper legacy shit that sees you throughout the rest of your working life and retirement. You make a good job of this, and your rep is God like.

They aren't naming everyone, firstly. Secondly, your final sentence shows you don't believe any journalist whatsoever, which sounds like a personal problem with news. In which case, just ignore it. Don't give sarcastic BS about what you think of it?
???

Literally every single person in this thread is, including you, is posting stuff based entirely on their own personal opinions and beliefs. Because none of us have the inside track of anything related to this. If I feel like doubting all the stories being posted around for the reasons I have already outlined, I will do so in any reasonable manner I see fit, until proven wrong. At which point I will admit that I was wrong and applaud INEOS. If you can't handle it, you already know what to do. And if I have broken the forum rules, the mods can ban me.

feck me.

Have we reached “this is all PR bollocks we’re all deemed for doom and destruction” already before INEOS have taken office.

We don’t deserve anything nice. We always shit on it.

No shit Keegan. You mean they are having a christmas break next week. Who could've guessed.

Twats keep continue pushing this next week narrative.
Yeah the next week thing is tiring and people have stopped believing it will happen

CONFIDENTIAL: INEOS are planning to resurrect Johan Cruyff and appoint him as Director-of-Football! He will be joining INEOS's team consisting Dan Ashworth, Michael Edwards, Paul Mitchell, Dougie Freedman, and Txiki Bergstein. In addition, Sir Alex Ferguson will undergo top secret INEOS regeneration treatment and will be reinstated as manager. INEOS also have plans of having Jesus Christ as head of the medical department, whether that will help Manchester United's recent injury crisis remains to be seen. INEOS.

Where would rather work? In, bleh, Newcastle - surrounding by Scots on stag and hen nights, drinking a pint of brown water and saying "howay". Or Manchester, home of @Cheimoon and @calodo2003.

He'll come, he's just waiting to share a taxi with Frenkie.
I mean.. spending Saudie money doesn't really sound boring.

It’s easy to state that’s how you are going to be approaching contracts and transfers but wait until it’s August and you haven’t signed anyone for a key position and agents are demanding terms favourable to their client before they think about signing for United over City, Liverpool, Bayern, Dortmund, Madrid and Barcelona.
Part of the reason we give these stupid contracts is because it is common knowledge how poorly ran we are. Players will know this too and so I believe because of our volatility as a club we have to pay higher wages as insurance (if the player wins nothing, which is likely, they will have at least earned more here than they would have anywhere else). If we are appointing the people that it looks like we are, agents and players will know this. Reputation is very big in sport and if we've people like Blanc in place I think we can start being taken more seriously.

In all seriousness, if this deal doesn't include a guarantee that the Glazers will be gone at some point in the next couple of years I think I'm done. I can't watch this club be abused any more by these parasites.

Moving personnel about behind the scenes is maybe the most important change for years and their most important job. The sooner the better.

That's impossible. Supporting football team becomes some sort of addiction after how many years. Even while we're crap and hopeless, you'll keep on watching, if not with hope then out of routine.
