The Glazer children since Malcom Glazer died remind me of the Roy children in Succession, utterly inept, with delusions of grandeur and no clue how to run even a stick up there own backside.

I see Ratcliffe as Lukas Mattson, a tall, wisened European who has come in to run the show and ultimately force the American parasites out of the organisation. Now he just needs to bring in a Keri type and we can take the PL’s biggest milf crown away from Karen Brady and West Ham. Well, almost.
Continuing the analogy, John Murtough has done a pretty good job of being
Tom
so far.

Well it's a good start actually showing their faces. Best manure is the sole of the farmer's boot as they say.

New Manchester United investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos head of sport Sir Dave Brailsford have told staff of their intention to drive the club back to the top of the English game.

Ratcliffe, Brailsford and Jean Claude-Blanc have been spending time at Old Trafford and the Carrington training complex this week prior to their proposed 25% purchase of the club being ratified by the Premier League.

United boss Erik ten Hag said on Thursday he spent ‘hours’ with the Ineos delegation, discussing future plans.

BBC Sport also understands Brailsford led a number of group chats in which he referred to United’s ‘performance challenge’, which was his way of highlighting the chronic underperformance in recent years.

It is thought likely Brailsford will bring in a new technical director once he is legally allowed to make changes.

That will put a question mark over the future of current football director John Murtough.

If EtH said that we need time to reshape the team and mentality to play like his Ajax, I think we would accept that this is a transition period to get there. But he abandoned that to become the best transition team in the world which basically sacrifices control for goalscoring opportunities, which are paltry. I am not sure whether he should be given more time for this type of football which he himself is experimenting with. What exactly is the team supposed to look like? If he can show a proper pathway to that objective and INEOS is convinced then so be it. Otherwise, he should go.
He can't see the forest for the trees at the moment.

I really hope not mate.
I doubt it, especially when you look at the details of the deal. Their intentions are quite clear. They want out. With Ratcliffe taking over or someone else.

I didn’t like the comment as it was clear agenda posting in my opinion.

Fair enough!

I really hope they just want higher price and eventually fecks off, this club needs owners with high sporting ambiitiions. And not only someone sucking the club dry.

The right noises are coming out and hopefully they are a lot more present at the club.
We seem to say it every year but this summer will be a big one, I think more so this year as it will be a big indication of the direction they want to go on.
No doubt they won`t be able to make all the changes in one year though, it`s going to take minimum 2-3 years to get back on track.

I think they’ll be gone mate. This is the first stage and should be celebrated.

Agreed, he seems lost. I think he also is simply not up to the job. He is too arrogant, refused to take advice from likes of Rangnick, wanted control over transfers and he has bought lots of his ex players or players that played well against Ajax. Its an unbelievably limited approach to recruitment and the club should never have sanctioned this, but equally he should have had the sense to realise how dumb an approach that was. Now most of these transfers have failed he is floundering. There is no tactical genius at work here, I think that was pretty obvious when he insisted playing Weghorst, the most technically limited player ever to play for us.

We've disagreed previously that they'll be gone. But hearing the developments and potential hirings, I'm now at a stage where I don't even care if the glazers stay on indefinitely. The essential things are moving ahead in very positive way!

Got the Champagne ready for the day we are rid of Glazer parasites mate
Can we share a glass?

Yeah things do sound rather positive at the moment and finally like we have some clear direction and intent.

I have more optimism now than I have had in the last ten years. Huge pressure on Ineos, but I think in 2/3 years, we will be back at the top table.

The litmus test for me will be when the deal is fully ratified, just how hands on will Sir Jim actually be?

Forget the manifesto, forget Brailsford, Mitchell land Jean Claude Blanc, I want to see Sir Jim at every home game, he’s a fan so now he part owns the club, he should watch as many games as he can.

For nearly 20 years the club has been rudderless at the top, Sir Jim is a winner no doubt about that, he’s now out manoeuvred the Qataris twice with Mercedes and United. The club needs and deserves strong leadership, Sir Jim’s personal wealth is rumoured to be three times Abrahamovic wealth at his peak, we don’t need too much of his money to be great again but the players, fans and coach need that figure head to look to and to provide strong leadership.

I can’t imagine a United side getting beat 3 or 4 nil at home after the stadium has been modernised and Sir Jim sitting up in his throne tolerating too much of that, so yep things are going to change and change quickly?

Old American people.
Tossers.
Pretty sure British country folk have the expression too. In my experience it applies to any business though, no substitute for the boss walking round and finding out what's going on.

I presume Sir Jim doesn't have as much free time as you think

I'd like to see this as much as possible.

This is a key reason the club has been allowed to stagnate. The Glazers have never really had to share in the collective shame of an embarrassing defeat, which is a powerful motivator for improvement.

Don't think that will happen. I think he's only allowed in the country so many days a year cos of tax reasons.

United (or before that, Chelsea) seemed to be his destination in order to build a legacy, something special in sports than just simply owning a club. So I reckon he will put in more efforts and be more hands on with the club. Whereas Nice was simply an opportunity he couldnt refuse because he wanted his business to get into sports.

He needs to get the best possible people to run the club and sack them if they dont work. Too many clueless clowns roaming free for years and not only the manager. City's success was largely down to Txixi. After Tixixi came they started hiring and recruiting better. People might say Pep is the most important but I think its Txixi. Hell he probably already has Pep replacement lined up... bastard. His latest comments are encouraging. Yes, hire the best people for the job and success is inevitable.

Lads, I’m beginning to think that Sheikh Jassim isn’t going to take over the club.

Sorry I know this will have been covered but it’s been a lot of news every day and a lot to digest…

Once the deal is complete, does it mean if United want to sign (as a pure example) Michael Olise this summer, Ratcliffe and the Ineos execs can complete that signing 100% without any input or sign off whatsoever from Joel Glazer?

So basically they could sign a player without Joel Glazer even knowing about it until it’s done? (I know in reality he’ll still be kept abreast to ensure good working relations)

Exactly as Americans, the beautiful game never truly resonated with them, we were simply an international ATM, a cash machine for them nothing more !

Which point are you snarky trying to make here?
I’m expecting him to turn up at most home games, then like most united fans he has my undivided attention as I can see him actually rebuilding the club, if he visits for the odd home game here and there, for me and many fans who still don’t completely trust this deal that’s simply not enough.

He’s said he’s not in for the money but the glory, I say prove it by making himself be the figure head of the club, by being present at every home game and making his wrath felt instantly by if the team performs poorly on the pitch!

We aren’t his only business though.
He doesn’t need to work 7 days a week 24 hours I’m sure he can fit in a few hours to watch his beloved United on Saturday at 3pm or Sunday at 4.30pm, it’s not as if he can’t afford the private flight from Monaco to Manchester once a week now is it and he gets the summer off to go on a big yacht and unwind.
