Been at the club for "only" 4 yrs so not yet up there but he must have all the credentials surely?
It's because a large part of our fanbase get nothing out of actually watching a football match. I genuinely believe that.I think it depends on where you draw the line. If Park and Carrick are United are to be considered legends, then so should Bruno if we're being honest.
But if it's one thing the post Fergie era has taught me about United fans (at least online), it's that a player's legend status largely is dictated by number of trophies. There are very few exceptions. At least among modern fans. De Gea is the best example of this. He should be a no-brainer for the legend discussion, but many posters outright seem to despise him. It's "death by association" in its purest form. It's impossible to remember De Gea without remembering the dark times post Fergie. Some fans even forget that De Gea has won the Premier League!
What the hell???I’d like to think he already is.
Been our best performer almost every year since joining, but yeah let’s slag him off and pretend United will turn everything around completely as soon as he’s gone. What the hell???
We're Manchester United, you know.
Edit - Just noticed the OP also says "he must have all the credentials, surely?". Wow.
Winning something decent has to be one of the credentials to be a "legend" at Man United, right?Been at the club for "only" 4 yrs so not yet up there but he must have all the credentials surely?
That’s bollocks.Been our best performer almost every year since joining, but yeah let’s slag him off and pretend United will turn everything around completely as soon as he’s gone.
I've come to this conclusion this season.Absolutely not. When he goes I'll be relieved.
Well top two of our performers every year then. And some of your mentions are debatable imo. All in all his performances are still quite stable and on a high level. His two first seasons were stand out and he carried the team. Since then his performances has still been close or more than just on par with Casemiro, Ronaldo if you ask me. He avoids injuries and therefore is also a bigger benefit to the team than Shaw/Martinez imo, as the fall off when going to their backups is quite big. That’s bollocks.
Rashford last year, Martinez and Casemiro plus Shaw at least were better.
Ronaldo the year before and Bruno was abysmal.
His first season he only played three months of football and his second and only legitimate argument to your claim, I’d say his form dropped off a cliff from January.
The crazy thing is that he’s been truly awful this season…but he’d probably get it by default given the injuries and the fact nobody else has played consistently bar him and Rashford. As bad as Bruno has been, he hasn’t been as bad a Rashford. I’d put Garnacho and McT ahead of him and Lindelof and Maguire but they don’t have the popularity to win it. If Mainoo continues his form he’s been outstanding.
Teams win trophies not individuals. We won't win the league or cl with him so no
And a team set up with Bruno as its centerpiece is not one suited to win the highest honoursTeams win trophies not individuals.
No but it will be a huge step in the right direction when he is gone.Been our best performer almost every year since joining, but yeah let’s slag him off and pretend United will turn everything around completely as soon as he’s gone.
