United could spend £85million on David De Gea, Phi
True and thats expected. Given they are rival fans, They want him to fail so that they can piss themselves laughing over it much as we would like to do with their players.

Its especially sad when its our own lot who cant look through their own pre-conceived agendas. But then again, I dont think that lot will ever be satisfied anyway.
All this perceived lack of effort is what pisses me off the most, seeing as hes probably as committed to the cause as anyone and the fact he gets so frustrated with himself and others shows how much he cares and wants to win for the team yet people say he doesn't care!

People like Commadus for example, you can almost tell they are willing for him to fail, and then like today when he has a great game you can almost see how dissapointed one of our supposed own fans is by his performance, disgusting really.

feck em, 11 league goals already this season will do me.

With regards to the Torres mentions, I still think Liverpool should have bought Berbatov instead of Keane.

Berbatov and Torres would imo be a better partnership than Rooney and Berbatov were ever likely to be.

To quote Lawrenson, he's the only player I know that plays the game at walking pace.

In actual fact he appears to play the game at walking pace because he's so gifted, his first touch is sublime, which like all the top players, gives him more time on the ball.

It's his style of play that doesn't do him any favours, on his day he's up there with the top players in the world for me.

He just needs to make those days happen more often.

Fully agree his style makes him an easy target so to speak, which is sad really given his ability's are undoubtedly at a level few in the modern game can match, he's a technical marvel.

I think Noodle had it right you know, he's Messi in slow motion.

It was great but as harsh as it may sound it's not enough. He can't be either absolutely brilliant or completely shit.If only he could still contribute when he has those horrible matches.
Today was a blessed day for him, everything clicked but we'll see in the next few months

Yes you are psychic. What is disgusting is who you think is a fan or not. Keep it up.

Can't we just congratulate him on the day he scores 5 goals instead of also bringing up how he can get better? He played fantastic today, and that's good enough for me right now.

Doesn't change a thing, still isn't good enough for us consistently. One 5 goal haul in a superb team performance with rooney back along side him doesn't change the fact he's been pretty shit for 2 years and when usually has a huge negative impact on our overall play, coming deep to slow the game down and lose the ball.

Hopefully a couple more illusionary performances like that will convince Juventus or some other mugs to pay big money for him in January.

nope, just realistic

very, he'll be back to shooting tamely at the keeper, losing the ball and generally being a pain in the arse within 4 weeks
You managed to become a pain in the arse in one post.

You > Berbatov.

The negativety of some posters in here. It genuinely hurts.

Brushing off 5 goals like it's nothing.
Not brushing off anything, one performance doesn't make him worth his place in the team though.

If he was 21 I'd be optimistic about his future and accept him going missing for long periods and having masive flaws in his game. He isn't 21 though. When Rooney was injured he was annonymous when he should be the one stepping up to the plate and carrying the team when it's been the team and inexperienced forwards that have been carrying him.

I honestly think it has been overexaggerated how long he has been playing poorly, a few games turned into months, he showed brilliant form at the start of the season and now it's back, we're going to need him to win silverware this season, you should be happy for him in my opinion

12 goals in 17 appearances this season so far, he's now equalled last season's tally and is 3 goals away from his best ever tally for us. Yes, he may have went on a run there of games without goals, but he has more than made up for it today. Your attitude is disgusting quite frankly.

how is what I posted bitter? He's had 2 years to prove his worth and the last few weeks to show he's up to the job for us, one 5 goal haul doesn't change anything.

fecking hell. Hopefully you'll die of breast cancer and never post here again.
 because 90 minutes against an inept defence with Rooney on fire beside him doesn't change my opinion?

If he continues to win games for us consistently this season then I'll change my mind, otherwise everyone will be back to bitching about him again.

Oh and get fecked.

You managed to become a pain in the arse in one post.

just my opinion, which most people will be agreeing with again in a couple of weeks.

fecking knee jerk reactions.

He looked like he'd turned the corner at the start of the year but when Rooney was out and we really needed him he went AWOL again.

I really hope he does, and I'll be the first to bump this thread and admit I've been an arse if he contributes significantly to us winning the PL or CL, I just don't see it happening.
