Chopped and changed side again. Not sure Jose knows his best 11 and that is why performances are inconsistent. We've got a week before the next fixture so it can't be about changing the side because of a quick upcoming game.
    Jeez. This post.

Maybe it’s because it’s the end of the season, we have some injuries and we’re trying something different while we can.

I think that’s a midfielder too many. I don’t think you need more than Matic Pogba for these games
I think Fellaini is starting because Lukaku is unavailable. Brighton are likely going to play a low block and you need a presence in the box against that type of set up.

We've secured CL football so Jose will be playing a weakened/rotated side in the remaining league fixtures (see: Darmian and Rojo starting). I agree with you Jose doesn't know our best XI but don't think he was planning on playing what he sees as his first team until either the FA Cup final or a game or two before.
Yeah, but he's also stated he wants to secure 2nd in the league. And even if he's OK with CL secured for next season the fans and this board will go in to meltdown if we don't finish second. I know it's Brighton, West Ham, and Watford, but we've be done by lesser quality teams already this season so if he does truly want 2nd then don't chop and change the side.

with so many new players coming in the team will look disjointed. Martial and rashford will suffer. People will use this to make various claims about their lack of ability.

Crazy subs bench too, only one real attacking player (Lingard). I hope Jose hasn't underestimated Brighton, seems weird to only have 1 attacking option on the subs bench.
Who are you suggesting we put on the bench exactly?

This. But it’s still worrisome that we won’t see a first team until the bloody FA Cup final.

It’s not as if these have never played before. Stop being so pessimistic

True, but on the flip side if they're as amazing as some here seem to think, they should still be pretty good. Pathetic performances of running down blind alleys and terrible shots should be below them as 'world class' talents against this opposition.

Can't see the line up tweet. Can someone post the starting XI?
If you can get the Forza app, you get a notification every time the team is announced, plus a reminder half an hour before the game if you want it. And obviously the usual updates too.

I would've forgot we were playing tonight if it wasn't for it.

You've really got a thing for these young lads haven't you? Particularly Martial.

Phil Jones missing this means he hasn't appeared in 14 league matches this season. Scary thing is only Smalling has played more games.

It's not, it's incredibly basic. It's the area he needs to improve on most. He doesn't really come alive until the ball is at his feet. Rashford will stretch defenses. Martial wont move to create space. I could be wrong but until he does that he'll never get the nod over Rashford.
I agree he has to improve in that department but it's a different type of movement needed as a striker compared to winger. Rashfords movement is next to useless as a lone striker unless the other team plays a high line and we are on the counter... which we wont be. Most games, we need our striker to be able to hold up the ball and link up well with others whoch is arguably rashfords weakest point (hence being invisible every time he plays up top, while Martials very few games he played as a striker generally have gone well).

I see no Blind again, he's surely off now. Romero is back which means he will probably start the FA Cup final which i do not really want to see

Jose could simply be resting Valencia.

I'd be surprised if Darmian makes the Italy squad.
The whole Italian squad isn't making it to the world cup. And definitely resting Valencia, after rushing him back after the Spurs game to play against Arsenal. No need to risk for final, games have been catching up to him recently.

Mourinho needs to give his head a wobble if DDG doesn’t start the games cup final.

Martials hold up play isn't exactly great. If we are to play either of them up top we need to play a very different style of play. You're doing Rashford a massive disservice here.

Why would Romero start the FA Cup final? I don't think it's even likely in the slightest.

Exactly mate. I can live with Romero starting last year's final against Ajax, but not Chelsea. Jose has to win this trophy to make this a decent season

Matic, Fellaini, Pogba and Mata .....our pace is going to kill 'em! Unleash the whirlwind.
You including Pogba in that 100% proves that you base your perception of pace in specific players on FIFA.

He's the cup competition goalkeeper. Jose has also said he will give Romero every chance to be fit for the final
Since De gea started the Semi final, I think Romero don't have any chance of starting anymore.

amazing how just wishing martial would get a run in with the normal lineup somehow makes a person "have a thing" for him. Just find it interesting anytime it seems martial gets in the lineup nowadays we get a collection of players who havent played in forever or will be gone in the summer. Hope he does well but lets be honest unless he scores like 5 goals nobody is changing their mind about how they feel.
