Looking forward to seeing United play again, even though I am expecting a 3-0 demolition. Anything beats the international break.
Apart from the poorest teams, City haven't demolished anyone 3-0 in the league this season. I don't see why you should just expect them to do that to one of the better teams who are in form at present.

City have scored at least 3 goals in their last 7 Premier League home matches in a row. It's what they do, unfortunately.

We are winning this one. Never felt this confident against playing City.

Great to hear Rashford and Martial are fit. If they're fit enough to start, I'd leave Antony on the bench and go Sancho, rashford and Martial for the front 3.
I think Antony has the best work rate out of all them though. His energy tracking back on Cancelo will be critical. I’d go as far as saying he’s the most likely to start out of all our forwards.

I’ll be surprised if Martial starts considering he’s not trained for over 2 weeks.

We definitely need to start Ronaldo up front if Rashford is unavailable. Martial hasn't been around for sometime now and he definitely isn't going to start against City as soon as he's back. Rashford must start up front but I really really think that Ronaldo is frustrated to the core and will take this chance to prove his worth. He will do everything in his power to get us the win and regardless of his age, we all know how hungry he can get. Even if Rashford is available, I'd pick Ronaldo over him for this fixture. He knows about the rivalry and what the win is worth to us regardless of our status in the world of football today.

He trained for a whole week but yeah, he's coming on the 60-minute mark for sure.
Really? If that’s the case that’s perfect. I kept seeing reports that him and Rashford handn’t been seen training all week. Unless they were doing their own individual training.

If Ronaldo starts I think city will win comfortably. We’ll get suffocated of possession and have no out ball. Dias will have Ronaldo in his pocket. We need pace to hurt them.

Oh come on, You are just throwing the great CR7 out of the picture just because of a few below par games. Mind You!

City won comfortably last season without Ronaldo starting.

Could you imagine Maguire up against Haaland? Jesus.
Probably the type of player he'd do ok against tbf. Maguire struggles with nimble forwards and balls behind so obviously Haaland could score that way (and other ways) but he'd be closest we have to matching him aerially.

Maguire would struggle massively with the rest of City's players too.

Hopefully we can get 90 minutes out of Martial and Rashford combined. Sancho and Antony out wide is good but I really don't want to have to start with Ronaldo up top. Rashford up top to start and Martial on after 60 minutes or so, or vice versa, would be nice.

What are you guys talking about pace? We need to keep possession and play in their half. It is high time we start doing that and stop relying on counter attacks. I know it is an away game but our future is in the Champions League and there are harder places to go!

The will might not be enough. I don't think there was anything wrong with the will last time he started, to put it like that. Now, with both Rahford and Martial back, I'm not convinced Ronaldo will see any minutes at all after his displays for Portugal. This is not a game that will suit Ronaldo.

We'll be playing on the break with at most 35% possession.

Dominating the ball in our opponent's half in big games is hopefully somewhere in our future under Ten Hag, but we're not currently capable of that. Our ball possession in other games this season (Liverpool 29%, Leicester 46%, Arsenal 39%) shows that this is still a team that's more comfortable playing on the counterattack.

Nothing wrong with playing on the break against this lot, especially away. Win the game whichever way right now, it would be a huge confidence boost. Wish we'd have played our last two league games, mind.

No team in the world keeps the possession more than City against them. It’s a bit dreamland if you think we are going to start applying that now away to City. In the coming games yes, but this game can only be played counter attacking.

Yeah admittedly Forest, Palace & Bournemouth but can only beat what is in front of you
In that case we’ve both been beating whose in front of us, with ours being objectively tougher opponents.

Haaland makes clever runs and loves to go behind a defence, it's Maguires worst nightmare.

With his pace and strength Grabby Maguire would be booked in 10 minutes, probably off by half time.

    He just hates to move.

Yeah won't be dominating games until we have a keeper who is good with the ball at his feet and able to control midfield too

Oh I know that's why I said most aspects except aerially which is where Haaland mostly seems to be dominating at the moment.

They seem more vulnerable this season so let’s see.

The build up will be almost exclusively focused on the height difference between Haaland and Martinez, I can even imagine Sky having some kind of side by side image to really push the narrative.

It pains me how predictable Sky have become
