Poor BT keep trailing the Newcastle vs United game - as if anyone will tune in!

We're Sheffield United and we do what we want?

To be fair, it was in response to a tannoy announcement telling them to go home or they'll miss the train.

Thought it was reasonably clever for people from Yorkshire.

Van Gaal's loving this, clearly, or he would have changed something at half time.

This is the way to play football, lads!

I would counter that by saying no sane manager would not take account of all influences that impact their brand/product.
How is this an influence? A pundit may be biased, looking for publicity, jumped on a bandwagon, or just a plain moron. Especially those in US (from my stream watching experience). What the executive cares about is the bottom line, and factors that may impact it in the future. Like stadium attendance, merchandise sales, sponsorship deals, or not making top 4, for example.

Sheffield have 10 players behind the ball in their own defensive 1/4. You just know they will nail us on the counter attack.

    Van Persie was finished.
    Falcao was finished.
    Rooney is finished.
    Memphis has struggled to adapt.

I expect the most of the others to perform better if they were managed better. But to claim it's all down to the manager is silly. It's his fault for sure, but he isn't the reason Rooney is absolutely done, or Falcao was finished at the highest level.

    More, agree. All, nope.
What about Di Maria? Was world class the season before he joined, shit for us, and then back to being world class at PSG. Makes me wonder if Rooney, RvP, Mata could all have done better if we just played a different style, and maybe they wouldn't look quite as finished as they do (not finished for Mata, just ineffective)

LvG obviously replaced the crowd that shouted the "Attack, attack, attack" chant.

I normally hate the commentators on BT sports and Owen just annoys the hell out of me, but they are spot on this game.
This is not the United I want to watch, we are turning in to mid table cannon fodder.

Literally slept through the first half after 10 minutes. Coffee at half time sorted me out.

Something came over the tannoys about a train/bus service being cancelled and alternative means transport.

Thats when SU fans started chanting that
To be fair, it was in response to a tannoy announcement telling them to go home or they'll miss the train.

Thought it was reasonably clever for people from Yorkshire.

    Fair point.

Someone here wrote recently "In the midfield we have Juan Mata, although at the moment he is playing like Sepp Blatter." Or something similar.
