Yes. Better yet, we've squandered 1B+ worth of recruitment. You'd think we'd at least have some players that could be considered integral to the squad after that outlay. I can't think of one. Which makes sense too though. Besides the wages, we've become a graveyard for player ambition.

This. And this after spending north of 200M in the last two windows on midfielders. 200M+ on Mount, Antony and Casemiro. Baffling transfer strategy. Yet, Sabitzer and Amrabat, the loan signings look like players we actually should've signed (probably for less than 50M collectively).

Result aside, there's no excuse for struggling to score a single goal. And it's not just City either, we don't look like creating/scoring against most oppositions.

City players will be overwhelmed here. More than the PSG team, they probably don't know how to play in so much noise anymore, packed stadiums and all. That's why they struggle so much away from home.

There's also a lot of other components here, Tendulkar used to open the innings, which imo is tougher than coming down the order. Not to disservice Kohli in anyway, he's as clutch as they come but I don't think there's a comparison between the two at the moment. Kohli is on his way to one though...
