So dumb from Mercedes, bizzare thinking. Same from Ferrari, why not pit one!

Big opportunity for Ferrari and Merc and both fecked it as you’d expect

Mercedes and Ferrari strategy guys are really dumb. Le Clerc for example surely would have come out ahead of Sainz and Perez. Hamilton, not sure where he’d have come out but judging by where Russell is, surely should have pitted.

 what are all these guys doing not putting. Le Clerc, Sainz and Hamilton? Madness. Absolute clueless strategy.
It's bizarre, with Le Clerc they may have been worried he comes out behind Sainz but he's down on power anyway so he would have been a sitting duck. I don't get it at all.

Too late for any pits now, they had to call it immediately like RB did.

You mean Perez and he wouldn’t have because Perez pitted, unless you mean Perez wouldn’t have pitted if Le Clerc did? If that’s the case I wouldn’t be worried at all because Le Clerc would have passed him easily.

James Vowels stealing a living at Mercedes, should rename him James Consonant as punishment.

If Leclerc had pitted, then I'm sure Perez wouldn't have done, but yeah he would have passed him easily. It's just a weird decision and I don't get the downside for Leclerc pitting in that situation.

They would lose track position, not worth the risk.
No, Le Clerc at worst would drop behind Perez but only if Perez didn’t pit. And if Sainz didn’t pit he would have moved out of Le Clerc’s way. So that would at worst leave Le Clerc on fresh softs behind two red bulls on old hard tyres. So this is wrong.

Hamilton I’m less sure of where he would end up but judging by where Russell came out, he wouldn’t have most any.

There isn’t any downside. Really bonehead move. Honestly I don’t think any team has any sane people devising strategy except Red Bull.

No chance Lewis stays ahead of Russell. Weird strategy from Merc and him

It’s the right call, the Ferrari is in no way superior to Red Bull today so being behind Perez is a dumb move on a circuit that is difficult to overtake.

Hamilton would have come out between Schumacher or Ocon.

They’re talking nonsense about Perez. He’s down on power he won’t be able to pass without DRS
