Got to be the only nation in the world who is against their flag  Embarrassing really.
I'm not against the Danish flag, but I do tend to associate the use of it in election material with nationalist pricks.

Also, from an outsider's perspective it appears Labour is just the Tories now. It's a shame the UK hasn't got a better democratic system.

Having lived in England for 30-odd years, the only time I haven't associated the St George flag or Union flag with the far right is when the Euros were hosted here in 1996. Everyone had flags flying from their cars, houses were decked in them and none of it felt remotely sinister. It was like the people had reclaimed their identity. But it was short-lived and the far right soon took it back.

In spain, the overuse of the spanish flag display is definitely associated with the far right

For years I've voted for the SNP but still opted in for some of my union contributions to go to Labour. It made sense to me - might as well support a party that will support worker's rights, surely? fecking pointless now, going to opt out on Monday.

The whole political spectrum in the west has shifted to the right

We are in pre second WWII conditions

Yeah and the SNP don't even try to pretend either anymore. Greens would be my vote, but their leaders are completely hopeless in government. Sturgeon really did paper over a lot of cracks in the Scottish political landscape.

Oh yeah, we're absolutely fecked. At this point I'm for anyone but the Tories, but we're still fecked.

"Not everyone that voted to leave the EU wanted to see Britain immediately descend into being an unaccountable single party state exploiting people’s worst prejudices to maintain power indefinitely. Some people just wanted bendy bananas."

How would you know? Far as I'm aware there's never been any Green ministers in the UK have there? They've largely improved my local council as the opposition even if they come across a bit wishy washy.

There are Green ministers in the Scottish Government. Relax.

Fair enough, 2 very minor ministers in one of the home nations. Huge sample size of course.
They are the co-leaders of the Scottish Green party and are two ministers within the Scottish Government. Why isn't that considered significant enough to criticise or judge? Very strange point of view.

Nothing to see here, just the ‘leader’ of a ‘political party’ publicly blackmailing a serving Member of Parliament.

Oh I would love it if some naughty secrets about Gullis were exposed though.

Yes I can hear you Clem Fandango!
I’m sorry, I mustn’t have my glasses on.

CRIMINALISE…HOMELESSNESS

FOR FVCK’S SAKE!!!
What's funny is that homelessness was criminalised by the Vagrancy Act 1824 and it is only very very recently that this Conservative Government decriminalised it. It is a u turn on a very recent policy.

The Times poll has the Tory's on 98 seats.

98 seats too many. How the feck can the Lib Dems and Greens not be making more gains in such a scenario? Our political system is trash.

if your vote is inherently lower than the major parties and spread out over an entire country, first past the post will always see little change in seat totals for those parties.

FPTP incentivises switching between major parties and people want to punish the tories

I really wanted to vote Labour in this GE but I think I might end up having to vote Green… these aren’t Labour policies
I'll have to wait to see who the local candidates are but I'm thinking the same way. If a GW was held tomorrow, I'd likely vote either Lib Dem or Independent.

Lammy and the opportunist Labour lot using this leak as a means to pretend they're innocent. As slippery a bunch as the people they sit opposite. He and Emily Thornberry are probably the most disappointing on that front bench, I thought they were decent. To be fair, I actually believed Starmer's original pitch too. It's so depressing.
