It’s not looking good for him at all, however, we’re just going to replace him with another gamble and in 12 months time the fans will probably be calling for his head aswell.

Why not give EtH another half a season with an actual structure in place and see what happens?
Why him? Why does he deserve what our previous better managers didn't get?

People are still peddling this fiction that last season was all sunshine and roses. Things collapsed after the Sainsbury's Own Brand Energy Drink Cup final. The last third of last season was miserable viewing. Do people not remember Wout Weghorst? Have you all purged him from your memories? It's been largely shite for over a year now. It isn't just this season. It isn't a phase. It's the normal of Ten Hag's regime. The bad under him now FAR outweighs the good. It isn't even close. And yet people are still defending him. Still clinging onto some hope that it'll all come good in the end, despite there being absolutely zero evidence to support that theory. It's baffling.
It's becoming increasingly more clear that a Rashford hot spell really carried what were relatively underwhelming overall performances around new year last year. Combine him going ice cold plus a big spell of injuries and a decision to switch our primary focus from counter attacking to suicide counter pressing and you have what you see this year.

If i wouldn't have known that the man has integrity, I'd say he's doing a Jose of trying to get sacked with massive pay off.

Sadly, i think he's just run out of ideas.
There wouldn't even be much of a payoff. He's got one year left on his deal and I think we pay reduced compensation when CL is mathematically impossible.

This Dutch stubbornness is killing our team. The tactic and style doesn't work and he refuses to change. He needs to get sacked. Get in an interim until summer.

Nothing has changed all season. Thanks ten hag for last season but changing tactics for season 2 has ruined it all. Bye

I don't think changing the manager will solve our problems magically. Also, last year we were on the right track and this year we just collapsed. Why? Injuries can't be the only problem. We don't know what is going on behind the scenes.

I tend to believe that our main problem is that we have horrible designed squad, where players don't fit each other at all. I want to see him under a new structure, but he needs to make it easy for the ones who still have some faith in him.
And you'll get your chance to see that at whichever club he manages next.

ETH is so done it's not even funny.

Should have been fired after the champions league group. What a waste of time

We were horrific from February and until the end of last season. There’s some revisionist takes making it sound like we were brilliant last season. The reality is we had two very good months just before the World Cup, and that is the only period under ETH where we have shown any real promise.

Feck this team of bottlers
To be quite honest, how can you not bottle it when having 20 odd shots against each game with a gameplan that's not making sense?

feck! I've gone full ETH out haven't I?

Best football last season came with either the pairing of Eriksen and Cas, for the 3 months they had the legs or that spell Cas and Fred played together. However Ten Hag was aching to go to this nonsense midfield set up, shown by getting Sabitizer into the team.

Been shit since he stopped playing an orthodox midfield.

Good bye Erik. You will enjoy returning back to the farmer's league you came from.

One of SAF key qualities was his ability to adapt, both tactically match by match and strategically year by year, bringing in different coaches to support him over the years.

I wonder what he makes of ETH?

He has been good for just half a season in 2 seasons, how can that be deemed good enough to give him another full season

We are 7th and behind fecking Newcastle. With these kind of performances we will probably be overtaken by West Ham as well, and finish 8th.

How did the team bottle it? ETH sets them up to fail every week. If it weren't for the players we'd be below 10th.

I feel the fans and our club gives the managers too long a leash. He's spent his money and have had time to make a mark. We are 2 points above Moyes West Ham. Smaller clubs readily sack their underperforming managers. Our fans and our board are the only ones being terrified about sacking managers "too soon".

Yup Saf was very open minded tactically. It's why he was excellent even when we didn't have the best players. Erik is the opposite

And that's probably why he's still on the job. The season is almost over anyway. And most players are still playing for him.

Still have to play 4 teams that smoked us in the reverse fixtures in our remaining 6 games. Good luck to anyone still in this fool's camp.

This guy is a joke now and has turned into a total disaster, no other ‘big’ club in Europe would still be employing him, it just baffles belief. Why do we hang on to managers and players well past their sell by date. Every game is just making the club look even worse.

How is he still not only picking Casemiro but playing him the full 90mins? Is he blind?
How does Rashford stay on the pitch and we take Garnacho off? Wasn’t his best game but he’s still a much bigger threat than jog along Rashford.
How do we not have a defined and visible style of play? Injuries do not count as an excuse, we should be able to bring squad and youth team players in as they should be playing the same style.

I‘ve never seen us in such a mess, so disheartening.

How would a different structure make any difference to the clear tactical weaknesses we've seen on the pitch every week for months now? He shouldn't need a new Ceo, a Director of Football or a new head of recruitment to know that whats happening on the pitch isn't working and he needs to change something, anything.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus

Because he didn't have a galactico team to make his tactics look good, or a completely injury free season, plus the wind was blowing in the wrong direction in some of our games. Once it all works out as he needs, the stars align and the gods look down on us.... then he might look competent at this level.

Because of the tactical chances we've made since then

Would rather have Ratcliffe as interim manager till the summer.
Thought you said Rangnick for a while there..... Triggered me I can't lie

Yup, it’d be one thing if his stubbornness was due to us looking brilliant in one area (say attacking, or pressing, or possession) but fecking it up too often in other areas. I’d get that if we were just waiting for the one area to “click” but we’re absolutely awful all over the pitch.
Any competent manager would either have us improving in some areas else start working to a different more pragmatic plan.

I didn't even realize we've been this bad results wise. 1 win in the league in 2 months. Dire
