Do the cultists @VP89 @BenitoSTARR @Berbaclass enjoy this?
I don’t like this post. It’s nothing at all to do with the topic of the thread and attacks posters for no good reason. Find a better outlet for your emotions.
No, knowing who the manager was, who favours playing football without a midfield.

A normal competent manager would do fine because they'd play a low block and counter attack tonight. Maybe lose narrowly at worst.
So you would prefer to accept we can’t play attractive football with the players we have? Drop deep and play like a lower table side?
I only need to look at the manager to know we won’t.
Surely the players play the football though. Did anyone look at Mateta vs Evans and think this won’t be an issue?
I looked at the daft twat of a manager sat on the bench and knew we weren't going to do well
Constructive.
Genuine question. Did you look at the team and say, yup a 4-0 pasting sounds about right.
No but I did think we’d lose tonight. As soon as that line up was announced.
We're getting played off the park and losing 4-0 to 14th place Crystal Palace and this is not a one off. It's up to the manager to tweak the tactics to save us from an embarrassment but he's done nothing there and the way we've set up tonight is a disgrace.
We have Evans, Casemiro and AWB at left back.

We have Eriksen (no legs), Mainoo (teen) and Mount (coming back after months of absence.

We have a 19 year old winger, 21 year old forward new to the league and Antony at RW. What else were we expecting?

Tuchel, Zidane, Amorim?

Potter or Southgate would be disasters but still not be anywhere near this bad.
Tuchel = personal opinion but no thanks, there is a reason he doesn't end with any club on good terms.
Zidane = apparantly has no interest in managing in england and has not experience in a job like this.
Amorim = unproven, is he an improvement?
Potter = I would point him in the Amorim camp but somewhat proven as being unable to cut it at a top club.
Southgate = Would be even worse, I guarantee it.

Looking online theres a long list of coaches available, whether theyd take a short Hiddink style role, I dont know

Flick
Low
Scolari
Sarri
Mourinho
Blanc
Kovac
Benitez
Favre
*Zidane
*Potter

*could consider longer deal
The only one that I’d say is no chance is Zidane. All the rest would probably come on a short term deal.

Genuine question did anyone look at the back line available tonight and think “we’re going to do well today?”
But that doesn’t excuse how bad we are all over the pitch. We’ve been absolutely battered by a bang average Palace side

We can’t string 3 passes together

Yes.

CBs with an average age of 34, one of whom is actually a CB (and is clearly not match fit)

A CM duo of Mainoo and Eriksen.

You’re absolutely right 4-0 was on the cards.
Yup, with that clown in charge it was always on the cards. Point is it is not because the team itself is so bad that 14th placed Palace can whip us around. Any competent manager would still ensure we put in a decent display.

People seem to be forgetting the CB pairings we used to play under SAF during our injury crises. This is not a brand new once-in-a-century event which some of his fans are making it out to be.

We’ve had a hell of a lot of pumpings with him in charge. Can’t remember too many games we’ve won by 3 or more. At least other managers had us scoring goals for feck sake.

The most realistic option would be Darren Fletcher until end of season, if he was actually sacked tomorrow.

We play like this every week though regardless of who's starting. We could have 0 injuries and we'd still lose 2-0 at least.

We started the season poorly and it's gotten worse every single week.

West Ham and Palace owners have more ambition than INEOS. If Hag is still there this week it will confirm INEOS are as bad if not worse than Glazers. 18 months to buy the club 18 months on garden leave. This wasted time is killing us. feck off BREXIT Jim you cnut.

It can't be overstated how catastrophic this guy has ultimately been for us. Regressed, spent crazy amount on duds, team's completely shot, some of our heaviest defeats ever in the prem, and fan standards are on the floor.

Incredible really.
And will end up leaving the team depleted and devoid of any confidence. They (like half of the caf) probably think they are a midtable team..... Can't wait for the reset...

If he wants to play Ole ball next season, he needs to swallow his pride and re-sign De Gea.

No feck it, get this faker the feck out of this club

'You can safely ignore anything he ever says' lasted long then PoTMS.

I'm flattered.

A plan at least, organised maybe....

Would Sir AF or even Moyes lose to Palace 4 nothing with this available squad?

Oh yeh good point let's keep Ten Hag then. He's the worst manager the club has ever had but I'm sure a proper structure will make up for that, rather than gambling on a new manager who could not possibly be worse.

The first two goals come from exactly the problem we have in terms of defensive injuries. Casemiro our CB beaten in the middle of the park out of position. Evans dropping off giving space and Olise scores.

Then Mateta gets the ball driving at Evans, Evans backs off adjust body position recognising Mateta is dribbling right footed (anticipating a cut in) and Mateta ghosts past him with ease on his left and smashes one in.

2-0 down two errors by our starting CBs that result in those goals.

If you're still replying/engaging with posters that argue for Ten Hag seriously, you've spilled your noodles too. It's an exercise in un-seriousness and they're having you on

Ole was up there but I didn't expect to play utterly shite in every single match under him. Under ETH, I expect us to lose pretty much every single game that we play.
Not just lose but get completely obliterated. It’s a miracle we haven’t had more of these results this year because honestly there have been many, many games that could have ended exactly like this.

If I tell you I have a fantasy where you feck off into your little grief hole and find another hobby, can you indulge that one for me?

Or do you have to take 'ignoring everything I say' into another thread before that happens?

Let's back the players yet again. I'm sure they won't sack the next manager.
Im done with this "these players will throw any manager under the bus" argument.

Look at the starting XI tonight...

Onana, Casemiro, Ericksen, Anthony, Mount, Hojland and Evans. All Ten Hag signings.

Garnaco and Mainoo, new to the side. Garnaco made his debut in the last few games of Rangnick.

So you going to put all the blame on AWB and Dallot? Because you cant blame the usual suspects tonight - Rashford, McTominay, Bruno, Maguire etc.

Yes, our squad needed improvement but im afraid that Ten Hag has brought in a bunch of players that have made our squad worse.

I'll keep watching. But I mentally checked out months ago and it'll likely remain that way until he goes, unless he stays and manages a complete turnaround, which looks a pipedream.
As will I, but I can't guarantee I will keep watching. Never turned a game off until today.

My word, he has to be sacked now. This is just horrendous. From lineup, to setup, to subs, to halftime reorganisation. 80% of this is on Erik as a manager. This isn’t even including the players he’s decided to sign.

this is just going absolutely nowhere.

I hope you are right, but in the past all we have seen is a manager leaving resulting in "everyone gets a clean slate".
We've only 10 players left from when Ole got sacked. Half of those are probably leaving regardless of who the manager is next year.

Who are you worried will get a clean slate?

We have a lot of injuries, but ETH does not seem to want to adjust to the situation.

He has been a disaster for this club. I can’t remember a single manager who has overseen as many trouncings. With his signings, he has set the club back a couple of years because we are lumbered with the high wages of Mount, Casemiro, Onana and Antony.

Please get him out and get Tuchel in.

Yeah at this point it has clearly become a joke. Anyone thinking this can be excused is insane.

We havent played attractive football all season, depleted squad or full strength (-Martinez).

Fergie had no problem playing like a lower table side whenever we needed to. Because he has a brain. If you aren't tactically flexible and realistic, you don't belong in the business.
