I thought harms would take Van Hanegem first pick - in case Joga picked him. As it is he's done great to pick up Facchetti as well as secure Van Hanegem, who obviously fits his theme nicely.

It was obvious that Joga won't go for Van Hanegem with Netzer in his team. Joga cares about the chemistry and there is none between them. I was more afraid that he would pick Facchetti tbf. Predicted him to pick Eusebio and one of C. Alberto/Jairzinho.
Why is there no chemistry between Van Hanegem and Netzer? Because he hates Germans or are you meaning stylistically, as I think those two would be fine together in that sense with the right partner.
I think Eusebio, Netzer and Law poses it's own problems.
