Not justifying Fellaini's swing out vs Huth or Schweinsteiger's forearm smash on Reid, but Aguero's is worse than them both. Both of the former incidents resulted in retrospective bans. Surely this has to be too. Inconsistency from refs on the pitch is understandable, especially if they miss it, but if a panel can review it over and over and make a decision, then surely this has to fall in line with previous cases that were incredibly similar. It just has to be a ban.

It'll be carnage if he gets away with it. Didn't he get away with studding David Luiz right on the arse that time? Sergio seems to have a squeaky clean reputation of a choirboy, but he can be pretty nasty and sly quite a lot of the time.

Huth pulled the Belgium midfielder's hair, who in turn elbowed the German.

Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger will serve a three-match suspension for elbowing West Ham's Winston Reid.

The ban begins with immediate effect after the Germany captain accepted an FA charge for violent conduct. The incident, last Saturday at Old Trafford, was not seen by the match officials but was caught on video.

Schweinsteiger caught Reid in the throat as the players battled for position from a first-half free-kick during the 0-0 draw.

If the FA don't ban Aguero they should probably look at closing as an organisation.
