Feel like he got a pity play tonight, to pay him back for being subbed as a sub against Palace. Not good enough tonight.

Should have stayed to try his luck without Weghorst. Not everything came off for him but he was a danger throughout.

Needs to use Shaw more. You could see Sancho had a far better understanding with him when he came on. Tries a little too hard plus he goes down a bit easily. However he's allowed a bad match after his Fulham and City heroics. Young and learning.

You guys are ott. He wasn't poor or the like.

I'm sure he beat his man a few times today but also got beaten himself too.
Don’t think so. He’d go past Ayling or whoever and then get pushed over and caught. He lacks the strength at the moment.

He was crap, but it doesn't matter. He's a teenager with a long career ahead of him. He's not ready to be starting league games yet

Got bags of talent but also obviously not ready to be a starter just yet, he’s most effective against tired legs, although due to injuries we didn’t have a right lot of choice but to start him tonight.

Could easily have walked off with 2 goals, but Ayling was in his head and it wasn't a good outing overall.

Not going to kill the kid though. Players who should be in the peak stunk the place out in midfield.

Too many get blinded by him being able to beat his man (although today I think Ayling got the better of him) and assume beating your man a few times is a good performance even though the rest of what he did was quite terrible. Lost the ball more than any other attacker by far, missed at least two chances to score, and overall sort of looked like a teenager.

It's okay, he's very young but there's a reason why he's raw and not some ridiculous finished product like some on here would have you believe. Personally I'd like to see him work on some finishing practice to start and develop that side of his game so that he has some variety in his locker aside from being blazing quick and running at players.

I don’t like him. And it’s not based on today’s performance.

With better finishing he wouldn’t be far off 8-10 goals for us.

Antony is slow to take on players but you can at least say he's trying to use his brain.

This guy though. Just brainless fecking running with the ball, bumbling into defenders, losing the ball, pissing away momentum. I do not see it.
Couldn’t agree more.

Too selfish. I can forgive that to top players in some way but 18y old kid shouldn't just look at goal.

Strength is something else but he got past a man a few times today.

Rubbish today, repeatedly failed to beat his man, lost the ball a lot, and wasted two glorious chances.

Far far below what he's capable of.

I thought he did a lot of things right tbh - he was still Utd's most dangerous player first half (albeit without much competition). He just needs to be a bit more clinical with his finishing, but that will come with time as he generally progresses and develops more power in his shooting. The ball was behind him for his first chance as well.

I don’t think it’s something else, and if you go ‘past’ someone and can’t stay past them then I don’t consider you to have beaten them if they ultimately stop you.

He wasn't that bad, but the problem was that we pushed Rashford on the right who is in a goalscoring form of his life. On top of that and after a while he kept ending up in blind alleys which contributed to overall chaotic game considering we couldn't keep the ball upfront or control it in the midfield.

I still like the direct nature of his game. Will have to hit the gym more though.

He was shit today. Afraid to take on a 37 year old player and wasting 2 big chances. Hope he get a hairdryer and warm the bench well.

Not a great performance but he’ll learn and get better for it. Wide players will always get such game, especially when you’re not getting the passes quickly enough.

Some of you make me sick tbh.

We've got a fantastic 18 year old talent on our hands, and all you can do is talk shit about him

Pathetic. When he walks to Madrid in 2/3 years I hope you don't shed a tear.

Still much better from the bench against tiring defenders. No shame at his age. Keep him in that role now Sancho should be ready to start. I make it one goal and no assists in his nine starts for us. He delivers a lot more in his sub appearances.

If he can only play from the left, he’s only going to get minutes when Rashford is centre forward. In no world should Rashford be position to accommodate Garnacho. That’s his biggest negative.

calling people pathetic and in the same post showing an inferiority complex regarding Madrid is something

I thought he actually did ok, had two big chances to score had they gone in the posters who are quick to jump on his back would be gushing over him.
FFS support the players especially youngsters. The naysayers on here do my head in.

I agree with the blinded by taking on his man. I don't think he has performed once when starting. He is an impact sub for now. His ability to beat a man had some saying he could be our best ever academy player or some shit like that

He missed big chances in first half but was getting in the position. Some of the comments in here are baffling. He's 18 and it's his breakthrough season, another year playing this level and he's finishing them. Yeah it's frustrating tonight but he's an absolute gem, if you can't see the talent than it's not the game for you.

I think he’s usually better off the bench for us, it’s probably his age partly but his skill set just works off the bench as well, it’s a lot easier to use your pace against a fullback that has been running for an hour before you come on.

Should have buried at least one of those chances and was responsible for their second goal. Not to add him playing moved Marcus to the right.

Poor performance but he will learn

Agreed but as said,he beat a man today so to say he hasn't done it for a few games isn't entirely correct unless you were exaggerating to make a point

Not at all. I want him to stay and I like him as a player, you and the rest will be the ones that send him off unfortunately.

He was an inch away from scoring 2 goals tonight, yet all you can do is say he's rubbish  jokers the lot of you.

How about support our players instead of calling them shit and rubbish for missing a chance.

I'm so bored of coming on here and reading messages like this
