Tough they miss out :D

Stick them with Europe.

Yeah could work. Would mean having to select shit from the likes of Zimbabwe and Bangladesh though.
Hmm. Ind, Pak, SL, Aus, NZ, SA, WI, Eng, Zim - that is 9 so you can ideally avoid shite like Bangladesh, etc. But still forced to pick Sri Lankan players, and nobody likes Sri Lankan players.

Just go with 2/nation to keep it simple, then.

And are we penalizing Africa for not winning world cup with 2 picks from them?:wenger:

Done. I have dibs on all the West Indians and Australians in return.

Everyone else can scrape the barrel.

The mod has decided

We are going for 2 per nation because I don't like minnows.

What fielding restrictions we using?

I liked the ones at the last world cup.

  • 1st power play in overs 1-10;
  • 1 batting and 1 bowling powerplay, must be used by the 40th over
  • Maximum of 4 fielders outside of the in non powerplay overs
Hopefully we can see some 400+ scores.

This reminds me of my schooldays when we used to play cricket using a book.

Keep it simple skills.

WTF is a super sub?
"The Super Sub used to be a direct substitute for any one player in ODIs. The Super Sub had to be named before the game began (even before the coin was tossed), and he could replace any player from the playing XI at any point in the game.

But the concept of a Super Sub was different from that of the 12th man. Unlike the 12th man, Super Sub could bat, bowl, field or keep wicket once a player was replaced. Being a direct replacement, he couldn't bat if the player he replaced had already batted. Similarly if the player he replaced had already bowled his full quota of overs, the Super Sub couldn't bowl.

The Supersub rule would complicate it further. Lets keep it simple!

We have 16, no? Get the order done and kick this off.

The first deadline starts once the first pick has been made. Not the last time I'll have to spoon feed.

Don't be so old fashioned. It would give the game an extra dimension.
We're not going to do it the kids way. No shortened boundaries, either.

 How much conversation takes place in an hour... Skills, why do we need to PM the next in line ? Can't we just tag em' ? Also, what's the final verdict on the Nationality criteria ? Varun's idea was genuinely good imo, Nine nations to fill the 12 spots seems like a decent turnover.

And this is an ODI draft right ? Not specific to WC correct ?
