Much better in the 2nd half! His first half fecking annoyed me though and I hope we don't see more of that from him.
It just needs a minor adaptation -As the game went on, his confidence kept increasing. I would start with the same front three for the majority of games, it has plenty of potential.
Yes. Much better the second half. But by then the game was essentially done and dusted. Hopefully he can put a run of performances together and use this as a springboard when he’s next on the pitch.Different player after half time. Looked something like himself
We have to win games not focus on getting Martial to play better. He needs a run of games now - Jose should leave him in the team.
That’s hardly what she said or implied. We have to win games not focus on getting Martial to play better.
That should be when a player like him benefits, when it's like that and especially when we're the dominating team overallShocking in the first half but good in the 2nd half. Like @Irish Jet has said, he seems to struggle when the game is fast paced
What did he do in that game that proved undeniable talent though?Inconsequential. Came good when the game was over. His talent is still undeniable though.
The fact that Lukaku had played a few good games on the right (against Arsenal, Brazil... were there more?) doesn't mean that it's his best position and not the one that he had played hundreds of games in.Play Rashford as a LF, Lukaku as a RF and Martial as the CF/false 9 and everyone will be in their best positions.

I know he has talent, but I'm not seeing it tonight.
It's not just about initially being deployed on the right. Whenever he drifts to the right for us in games with another one of our attackers occupying the CF spot, he's so much better. He can cut in and play a decent defence splitting pass, can beat his man out wide and whip in a good cross (in fact he's one of our best crossers, if not the best) and still remains a goal threat. The fact that Lukaku had played a few good games on the right (against Arsenal, Brazil... were there more?) doesn't mean that it's his best position and not the one that he had played hundreds of games in.
Explain yourself or don't bother lad
Well he himself says he isn't a target man and likes to run in behind the defence which will be easier if he plays in the channels in between the LB and LCB rather than RCB and LCB.The fact that Lukaku had played a few good games on the right (against Arsenal, Brazil... were there more?) doesn't mean that it's his best position and not the one that he had played hundreds of games in.
