Sure, there is conflict of interest between shareholders who wants cash and a manager who wants to build the best team.Wenger would most likely sell for 78 but I still think that Wenger is really desperate this year for the first time. He might be willing to take a stand. I know he gets endless banter as an accountant who cares more about money than winning but he is human.
He used to be absolutely adored by Arsenal fans. No one goes from a decade of adoration to what he experienced last year with the endless mockery from not just Arsenal Fan TV but opposition stadiums chanting " we want you to stay" and have that not affect them on a deeper level.
I personally think Wenger is ready to say feck Arsenal profits for the first time and really go all in trying to prove everyone wrong. Wenger cares more about proving people wrong than he does about profits in the end.
I like the man who is extremely interesting. The coach has made a very good job at Arsenal on the whole.
I have always respected the guy even especially since the club is no longer in a position to steal the best French prospects
