If Matić is out throw McTominay out there.
Also probably depends where you sit. I remember having Marseille fans sitting behind me at OT on a CL night, and they weren't quiet at all. Even celebrated Brown's own goal like crazy. But then again it wasn't at the stretty so it mostly depends on the stadium.Yeah mate it's very different to in the States. Mixing isn't common. Best to keep quiet.
It's worth noting that it's a football thing, not an European issue. People behave like adults here when watching other sports but with football...It's a real shame and an embarrassment to the sport. Is it a lack of loyalty, or just a different level of maturity?
Do you think it's normal and healthy to be willing to get into a physical confrontation with someone or tell someone that they're not welcome in an establishment over a sports event?
Matić or Herrera as #6 in a midfield three, big difference.
What's the difference?
Yeah obviously variants on the team or where in the ground you are. Generally very different to America! I find sports here are like a social event until you get to the business end of things. Also probably depends where you sit. I remember having Marseille fans sitting behind me at OT on a CL night, and they weren't quiet at all. Even celebrated Brown's own goal like crazy. But then again it wasn't at the stretty so it mostly depends on the stadium.
In the US it's totally different though, most people just go to enjoy the occasion, not giving a shit on the outcome of the game (unless it's a playoff game).
I wasn't aware that the order in which the midfielders are listed has any relation to their actual positions on the field...Matić or Herrera as #6 in a midfield three, big difference.
Neville actually had a graphic. But, yes, the order should indicate their position from right to left, like the classic shirt numbers do.I wasn't aware that the order in which the midfielders are listed has any relation to their actual positions on the field...
Anyway, I expect we'll go with a midfield 3 - Mourinho must have noticed how much difficulty we have exerting control over these big games with just 2 players in there. I imagine that Herrera will be tasked with Ozil-tracking duties (see Hazard last season).
Not a bad shout. Don’t think Mou will start him though. If Matić is out throw McTominay out there.
Me too! If pogba boss this game we could get a comfortable victory!I’m confident we’ll win.
Would probably take that if you offered it to me now though. We've been abysmal at theirs for a good few years now, and Ozil will be purring at the thought of the Matic shaped hole which he'll likely be up against.1-1 I would put down as a prediction.
Typically we'll score first, then concede late from a comedy error just to feel tremendous about the evening at the Emirates.
Think both teams are capable of winning though obviously if they play to their best and go for the throat.
Especially as we do not have any other option. But yes, I think this is a dip in form, not some grand revelation that he is in fact terrible (strange to even have to say that, but seen that floating about).Nothing wrong with that team at all. Despite Ander's poor form he's still a big game player for me.
This will be a hard game. This team is fairly automatic, but I think Lingard will be slotted in instead of a forward playing on the right, or a non-defense contributing Mata. In that line-up Tony has both Lingard and Herrera to help with Sanchez. And they all have energy.Exactly what I've gone for, but replacing Herrera with Matic if fit. Martial HAS to start ahead of Rashford all day long if one of them are to be selected. Not too worried about the Gooners. They always slip up after a run of a few games. Though they have won the last 12 at the Emirates to be fair.
No. But I'm still hoping Zlatan joins them in London, otherwise… it's an injury.Zlatan and Mkhi didnt travel?
That is exactly the blue print for beating Arsenal. Arsenal when they are looking for a goal gradually increase the amount of players they commit forward. It is only a matter of time before they have only one player staying back to defend. Martial and Lukaku need to be on their A-game.We have to approach Arsenal with a defend first/attack second mentality as is always the case with Mourinho anyway. That probably means Herrera assigned to Ozil and Lingard over Mata starting to harass play out of the back.
Three center backs, plus Valencia and Young. Herrera and Pogba, of course. Lukaku's in poor form of late but he'll get the start. This would be a superb occasion for him to break out of his poor run and dominate Koscielny.
I'll take a draw, but we have to avoid being dropped. What we don't want is for Arsenal to gain ground on us.
Defend against everything Arsenal throw at us, watch them stretch out of frustration and hit them with a late Rashford smash and grab.
Tell that to Steeler, Raider or Packer fans.Cause there aint no loyalty in sports, both players and fans, in the States.
David de GeaHave we got a list of none starters?
Wow out of over 100 teams you picked 3. Great sample size.Tell that to Steeler, Raider or Packer fans.
Yep, the last two times Arsenal were on one of their beast runs, we lost 3-0 (LvG) and 2-0 (Jose). Though the latter defeat was more due to us throwing away the league for the EL.Arsenal are in a rich vein of form. Without Matic in the middle I fear we might struggle but Mourinho clearly has an edge over Wenger so maybe he can muster something up.
