Not an expert but I'm not sure that's how it works.
Might be a browser thing. I get that when using Chrome sometimes with ad blockers etc.

When you’re writing a post and see all the formatting options. There is a floppy disk icon.

Deleting the draft clears whatever he has written in the box that is causing the issue.
