So apparently there's a clause in his contract that if he plays more than 30 minutes a game they have to make the deal permanent and so far atleti have made sure to give him no more than 29 minutes.

Got to be bringing him on. Not sure how they can guarantee it either way though. Sometimes you can’t make a sub for a couple minutes if the ball stays in play. Or if you bring him in with 29 to go there would likely be injury time.

Haven't watched any Atletico games but going off based their match against vilareal it's the latter with him being subbed on in the 62nd minute which Beggs the question about whether the added time counts or not.
